We finally found a place where to eat Japanese Sushi without leaving our small town. Honestly the best i’ve ever had since i got here in US from Japan! Service was hands down, place is clean, love the atmosphere. Definitely coming back for more :)

We went at around 12:30 pm. Our waitress was Winnie and she was very nice! And always made sure we had what we need.
Our chef was Mois (I hope I spelled their names right). He was very nice and had some awesome tricks. We got the teriyaki chicken and it was the best I’ve ever had. We also got the 2-14 and a California roll, very good as well.
It was a little quiet because we went so early but it created a relaxing atmosphere.
I would recommend to everyone.

Me and my wife have been going to Tokyo house for many years and were skeptical when hearing ownership had changed - but boy were we pleasantly surprised! The new owner Leo rocks!

He's completely renovated the restaurant with new flooring, ceiling panels, complete style and decor update, and most impressively - a completely new HVAC system that keeps the restaurant cool even during our brutal summers!

The menu is largely the same, excepting the sushi menu - which has been totally revamped! Food and sushi quality has also gone up as well - and you can tell the difference!

I ordered the Sashimi plate - and was extremely impressed with the presentation, quantity, and quality, AND real genuine wasabi! Seriously, it was the most beautiful plate of sashimi I've ever seen in my life 😂

The new owner Leo cares deeply about this restaurant, his employees, and customers. He is at the restaurant working at the sushi bar and walking around interacting with customers and helping out constantly.

Me and my wife 100% recommend the new and improved Tokyo House to anyone, it's cemented as our #1 favorite restaurant in Ridgecrest (aside from Mon Reve!)

My wife and I drive an hour and a half to visit this restaurant! The sushi is so good and so fresh! The waiter we had was awesome and patient with us while we decided and very informative about each roll that was new to us that we wanted to try and they were all chefs kiss! We love visiting ridgecrest just to have a phenomenal lunch at Tokyo House 🥰🥰

I'm not sure if our waitress was the bartender, hostess or our waitress. She was trying to do it all and failed. There was plenty of waitress staff to take care of us. Food was obviously forgotten in the back based on her expression when another waitress asked her where our food was. At the end she offered a free drink, we said no. Then gave us a discount, which was nice bit there were things we were charged for that we did order but didn't get. In the end we did get our cold food and overcooked after the reheated it to barely warm. So disappointing because I do go there occasionally. The summer staff was much better.

Crazy to find amazing sushi way out here. Tokyo House is easily the best sushi spot in Ridgecrest. The quality and freshness are top notch here. I've been trying to find a sushi here in Ridgecrest that I really enjoyed and here it is. What's so impressive is that their sushi is on par with what you'd expect from a bigger city.

On my last visit, a Tuesday lunch, the fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the Alaskan Roll and the Jessica Roll, and don't skip the classic salmon and tuna nigiri—they were simple, fresh, and perfect. They also remodeled and I really enjoy the new ambiance.

Pro-Tip: Make sure to check out their amazing all-you-can-eat deal, available Tuesday through Sunday until 2 PM. It's an incredible value for such high-quality sushi. If you love great sushi, this is the only place you need to go.

Hostess was the rudest person I’ve encountered in ridgecrest so far. I can’t believe they have somebody that rude up on the counter food was okay, not worth the 100 dollars.

Edit, owner reached out to me and made it better, I appreciate the work they went through for that!

Tokoyo House is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, prompt, and incredibly welcoming

The recent renovations are beautiful. The updated space feels fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed without losing the cozy, authentic charm that makes this place so special.

And the food? Out of this world. The chicken kavaage deserves its own spotlight—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s the kind of dish you think about days later and plan your next visit around.

If you haven’t been yet, go. Tokoyo House is the real deal.

I enjoyed the sushi, would return again for sushi. The other dishes, sesame chicken, was extremely salty. The appetizers were also very salty. If salty and savory is your taste preference, you might enjoy it. It needed some flavor balance in my opinion. As I said to begin with, not all was lost as they have a full sushi bar with lots of options.

Honestly, this is easily the best japanese restaurant even just restaurant that I have ever been to. My Uncle wanted us to have dinner here and I am extremely grateful to him for taking me here. I met Leo, the owner of the restaurant, he was super kind and welcoming as well as funny which is always a nice add on. Our server was excellent as well and she would occasionally check on us to make sure that everything was going well or if we needed water refills. Our grill chef, Moses, was super cheerful and had a sense of humor that was better than most modern comedians. You have to try this place if you're ever in ridgecrest. I had no clue that a restaurant atmosphere could be as positive as this one was.
