My husband and I went here month ago and had a lovely time. Junior was excellent and recommended excellent dishes to us. Chef is a expert when preparing art form entrées.The wine Junior recommended was savory, that i couldn't stop thinking about it. We will be coming back
No wait when we got there and very attentive help. They answered our questions and were very knowledgeable about each dish.
Food was delicious!
First time at this restaurant and it was fabulous. Great food. I had the special pasta of week and Portuguese cheese bread as an appetizer.
My friend and I had been wanting to try this place out for some time. We were sadly disappointed. The evening was filled with literally a comedy of errors, which honestly, both of us are ok with cuz stuff happens. (Appetizers came after meal, one meal came 15 min before the other one, check fiasco, wrong order)… What I’m mot ok with, however, is the attitude from the staff…it was really shocking. Never returning.
The hospitality is especially good! The freshness is superb!!!!!! But I love Mary Lou, she is chef and sometimes waitress, humbly willing to make sure your experience is enjoyable and memorable!
Pretty cute spot! Wish the menu had something to accommodate dairy-free options, but overall, loved it and would return!

This is a highly cultured and sophisticated place in the middle of farmland central California. .. Judith the owner is a specialist in fine wine. Her sister does the cooking ... The food and the platter is as good or better than top restaurants in LA. Hidden gem . Amazing !

Stopped in for brunch... great ?? service from the beginning we were seated immediately. The apple and bacon crostini was delicious as our appetizer along with our craft mimosas. Brunch dishes were on point as well I had the delicious chorizo hash and potatoes and we also had a Dutch baby...

I am a regular at A Matter of Taste. This restaurant has become my go-to place for an evening of exceptional food, a welcoming ambiance, and impeccable service. This is my intimate spot where every visit becomes a cherished gathering with friends. One of my favorite rituals here is enjoying L'Apéro, just a pause before dinner that embodies the art of slow dining, which A Matter of Taste fosters. Seating on their paito, sipping on their curated wine while nibbling on their Pissaladière, instantly transported me to a café in the South of France. Dinner never disappoints. On my last visit, I indulged in the Cod with honey-lemon-avocado vinaigrette—chef's kiss! The dish presentation, the burst of flavors and perfecly cooked fish was a a treat. I savored every bite! It was a meal that lingered in my memory so I had to order it to go the next day. Whether you're looking for an elegant night out, a date, a relaxed gathering with friends, or a chance to explore flavors from around the world, A Matter of Taste delivers with every detail. If you appreciate thoughtful cuisine, warm hospitality, and a touch of European charm, this is a place worth returning to—again and again.

The portions are just right, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the creativity in every dish is impressive. I couldn’t resist ordering the lasagna, and it was amazing. Every bite was rich with flavor, with just the right touch of spice to make it unforgettable. An exceptional dish in every way!

Food is amazing, fresh, full of flavor. I’ve recently moved back to the valley from the Bay Area, so I’m very familiar with the food in both locations and typically find Central Valley restaurants lacking. This place supersedes my expectations. And is better than a lot of Bay Area restaurants. Also, the service was phenomenal. The waitress and who I’m guessing is the owner was very welcoming, felt like a warm hug. I will definitely be back.

This was my husband and my second time coming here, and we will be back again. We stopped in on our way back from taking our baby to an appointment in SF. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions of dairy and gluten in a way that made me very comfortable. These accommodations did not diminish quality at all. Portion sizes were just right for how hungry we were after a long day of travel. They also were very friendly and helped to entertain my baby that had been cooped up in the car all day. The staff and chef has cemented this place in our hearts as one of our go to spots for a date night or just stopping in for a quick bite.
