Great wine selection, but don't go there expecting some culinary delights. Took a group for my wifes birthday and the only thing that got an"ok" was the burgers. Everything else was less the adequate.

Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Kind of nice to have two choices of atmosphere; a bar area where you can enjoy a burger and beer, and a dining room where you can order a fancier plate and enjoy wine with.

Are here for the first time tonight. Loved it. Great food. Amazing bartender, Vincent! Each of us tried something different-chicken piccata, prime rib and the fish special. The only argument we had at the meal was who's dish was the best! Check this place out in Ripon Ca!

What happened - half the items on the menu are not available and when the item is ordered the quality, quantity and taste along with the service is no longer what it used to be. Went there last night at 7pm for dinner. The bar was packed, but the bar area is small. So we proceeded to go the main dining area to be seated. We waited at the hostess station for 8 minutes before we were greeted. We got seated at table 6 which is basically in the corner. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner".. We ordered an ice tea & a old fashion. That took 10 minutes and dining area only had another couple ready leave. Our drinks came in and still no menu's. We had to ask for the menu's. It gets better! Five page stapled printed paper was handed to us. The condition of both menu's looked like a 3rd grader had it in his or hers back pack for 3 weeks before it was turned into the teacher. The servers where more interested in cleaning the two tables than taking our order. We had to flag her down to place the order. What we wanted for food they did not have . My date said we should leave. I asked for the bill and it was $19.50 an old fashion and an ice tea. This was the 2nd time in a row with poor service. Before I would bring high end customers to this place and spend a pretty coin here. I don't know this place has Lost its touch with great service, fine presentation and good food. I don't mind paying more, but they got an F on EVERYTHING!!!

This place was very cozy and seemed nice for the price. I'll do it by the 3 categories I can star.Food: For the price, the main meals were really good, I got the Salida Burger and it was made to perfection. Don't even get me started on the cheesecake, trust me you'll get addicted that's how good it was.Service: For the amount of people we brought in (11 people) the service was pretty fast and smoothAtmosphere: I think this place has a more chill and cozy vibe where you can just walk in and expect a good time with friends and family, though it was pretty cold inside

Amazing food and atmosphere. I had the New York Steak with Broccolini, mashed potatoes, and truffle sauce it was incredible.My wife Nikki had the Steak Salad and it was incredible as well. We had a wonderful time and super glad we picked Canal Street Grill to be our last dinner in the USA before embarking on our trip to Mexico.Thanks for sending us off with killer flavors and fulls stomachs without breaking the bank. We enjoyed our deliciously cooked meal! Rib eye and Glazed Salmon were both amazing! Crème Brûlée was the perfect ending! We loved the outdoor patio! Our servers were very attentive and made our night a memorable one!
Fabulous waiter:bartender tonight. Recommendations were spot on. My sliders were delicious and my husbands short ribs were too! Have the Manhattans while you’re there. ??

We were seated by the bartender. Didn't get to eat because we waited for service for 25 minutes without water or any drinks ordered. It's unfortunate but finally we got up and left

We drove all the way from Oakdale to have dinner and the dining room was closed. So we waited for over 5 minutes at the hostess station to try to be seated in the the bar. Two waitresses walked past us multiple times. No one even spoke to us or said anything. The bartender waved at us and then finally about another 5 minutes later, a very rude waitress says ‘Your name on the list?’ That’s it! No, hello. No, good evening. Nothing. I tell her no, and she says ‘name?????’ I tell her my name and she says ‘30 minutes’. That’s it. No other communication. I tell her that we’re just gonna go and she’s like ‘okay’. So we left. And we won’t go back. Awful, awful customer service. So disappointing!

We chose canal street for our Valentine's Day dinner. Pros- the service was quick, restaurant was not overly packed in with people, bathrooms are right up front. Main dishes were good. Cons- our table wasn't even ready when we arrived for the reservation only event so they just sat us in a booth with the Valentine's menu and no drink menu or placemats like the other tables, the dinner was rushed as we barely were eating the appetizer and our salad/soup came right on top of that then mains on top of that. one of the most disappointing parts came at dessert when our whole line up of dessert plate was loaded with Costco items, we love Costco desserts but for a expensive Valentine's Day dinner it was absolutely disappointing. Each person ranged in price of $85-$55 for the dinner festivities and to be served Costco dessert seemed like a disappointment. Made us wonder if anything was truly made in house. We will not plan on having a nice dinner here again as just a few towns over a friend of mine had a dinner at half the price with all in house made foods and desserts. Truly disappointed in the execution of this planned evening.
