We were not served until we asked someone to come over. They also had a limited menu that is over priced. Food was good.
The location was beautiful and set a really nice tone for the evening. Dinner itself was good, and the ambience was truly amazing — warm, inviting, and memorable. The only downside was the extremely limited menu, and service was just OK. Overall, a pleasant experience with room for improvement.
Well decorated for Christmas. Service was outstanding. Limited food and drink menu. They definitely accommodated special requests.
Service was good by our waiter Isaiah. Food was really bad. Limited menu but still pretty awful. Bread and calamari were tasteful. Pizza was enjoyed by those who ordered it. Pasta was horrible. I had spaghetti and meat balls and orcas served cold and had no flavor. One person ordered spicy pasta and it tasted like chili without the beans and one person ordered the fettuccini and it tasted like melted butter and the chicken looked like it was boiled and dried out. We were charged $40 a class of wine and for 4 soft drinks even though we were told refills were free. After speaking to the waiter it was determined that entries were incorrect. Finally the bill was corrected and paid. Such a lovely hotel. Lovely event. Really unacceptable food and as patrons we still did not get to enter hotel to see lights and decorations. A bucket list experience turned out to be such a disappointment.
“MEH” about covers it. My wife booked us a 5:30 reservation to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It appears outdoor was only available, didn’t appear busy and we asked to be seated to the left since the sewage smell didn’t seem as strong on that side. Hostess said she only had a small table for two. That side of patio was completely void of any customers and there was much roomier available table 3 feet from us. Not sure why we had to be at the mini table.
First the beverages came and they brought my wife the wrong drink, my soda was flat. Then bread and appetizer came out. My wife’s meal came out first. She waited a while then started eating while it was still warm. She really paced herself otherwise I would have watched her eat her entire plate and then she would have had to watch me eat mine when it finally came out. They had to come out at least 10 minutes apart.
The waitress and hostess were nice, the food was ok, but it just didn’t add it up to good dining experience.

Service was slow. Menu was very limited and disappointing. I honestly expected a lot more from a restaurant at the Mission Inn. I will say the meatballs were amazing.
As usual, food was excellent! My husband had the lasagna and I've got to admit, it was better than mine! The focaccia was to die for! Only criticism I have is that they took the salmon off the menu. Sometimes we like to get one dish that's not pasta.
Great taste but too small short rib tortellini portion for its price. 50% of the Margarita pizza was just bread. Egg plant parmesan was good.
Food was awful and that's putting it nicely. Sauce was burnt, food had zero flavor and that was just our appetizers. Waited 55 minutes and finally cancelled our entrees because they said it would be another 10 minutes when the restaurant was relatively empty. So so so bad.
Was so excited to go and try this resturant I was truly disappointed. But our server Kitty was so warm and friendly. $16.00 for 3 little meatballs that didnt really taste that great dont mind paying if food is good. Won't be going back.

I'm a Riversider and love the history of the Mission Inn and want them to continue to a vibrant part of downtown, but they must address the very strong sewer smell along 6th Street. Sadly, if you walk to the interior part of Bella Trattoria, the stench hits you like a ton of bricks. We chose to sit on the patio. Service was good but our meal was very mediocre. Our margheritta pizza had no basil on it! The salad's greens were wilted, and my daughter's glass of wine was not cold. Clearly they are struggling.
Staff was very accommodating, only wished menu had seafood options and more traditional recipes. Very limited menu.

Spaghetti did not have enough sauce. Neither did another pasta dish. I wanted eggplant without all of the cheese. Not thinly sliced eggplant with cheese in between. Appetizers were delicious. The tea was also delicious. Carol Mock
