Saw this sushi restaurant When we pulled up to the Hampton Inn nearby. What a gem! Ordered the XO roll, salmon and yellowtail and scallops nigiri. All of it was amazing. XO roll was very delicious and the tempura shrimp and jalapeños on top were incredibly light. It was not super busy when we got there and the chef kept making small add-ons and giving it to us on the house. Very friendly and welcoming and the food was top-notch. Highly recommend

Haven't been here in a while, arrived arrived 8:10 pm restaurant says they close at 9 pm. We were told it was last call so we had to order all our food at once. There was 4 of us we asked for a split bill they said okay. We were feeling very rushed, Peter who we loves and known for years came to greet us was even rushed to leave us alone by these 2 older ladies server's. I'm sorry but this was just horrible serves for paying costumer then we were told that they were not able to split our bill and on top of that were charged $18 yip! WTF sorry but we will not be eating in the restaurant anymore only take out

I used to love big tuna. The quality and taste of food has tremendously dropped. We tried the 5 different rolls, the baked muscles were the saddest I have ever tried and seen. Had to stop eating due to my stomach not agreeing with the food taste/quality. Eat at Your own risk!

We were worried it would be packed but when we got there, there was plenty of room! The waitress even gave us free tempura shrimp on the house while we waited . The food itself was unbelievably good, the salmon crunch roll was my favorite!! If you're in the area and catch them at a slow time, i highly recommend this place!!!!

Very disappointed. I brought my family here as I have many times before. I have a son with autism and we always bring his food with him because of sensitivities. Today they have a new policy. No outside food (no exceptions). I'm quite disappointed. We found a new place that thankfully was willing to accommodate us.

My family had a great experience at Big Tuna. The service was exceptional, with a very attentive waiter who even brought our kids complementary ice cream. The food was delicious, especially the sushi, and the plum wine was a hit. We will definitely be coming back here again.

Very disappointed in this place. First they charge a lot of money just for a roll of sushi, second they automatically charge a 15% tip on your bill. Then they give you the receipt and ask for another tip on top of that. Are you kidding me no wonder the service was crap. They already know that they will for sure get a tip no matter what. And I'm pretty sure that is illegal to do without permission. And it also took 3 times to ask for a water but my husband was able to get his beer right away. Never going back to this place again.

Lived here in riverside for over 20 years and I’ve just recently discovered this amazing place and it’s now my favorite spot 10/10 on service and food.

My friends and I walked in at 8pm believing they closed at 9 since that’s what their schedule said. We got there and off the bat the waitress told us hi just letting y’all know you have a little time to eat because we’re about to close so we’re like okay, we get our food and we begin to eat, not even 4 bites in she brings us the check and she comes back right after when she sees we’re not taking our card/cash out and grabs the check and goes “please we need the payment now” so we have to stop our eating to figure out who’s card we are paying with and then we give her one she comes back asks us if we need one or two boxes to go and she kept saying sorry but giggling almost out of nervousness but still didn’t appreciate being rushed out of there as I am eating and basically being told what to do while I’m eating in such a rush abrupt way and it’s not like we only paid $40 it was a $100 order we got to just get rushed out and not even enjoy fully. We were out the door by 8:24. Never going back again.

Came here for dinner with a friend and both of us got terrible food poisoning lasting us multiple days. We ordered one baked roll and a "fresh" roll. Our symptoms began the following day and has lasted over a few days. We will not be back.

This is the best sushi I have had in Riverside. Combined with a restaurant that always feel like home - well, you can see why me and my girl go here at least once a week. The Red Bull Roll and No Way Jose are our favorite rolls for sure. The seafood is always fresh, and the owners and staff are always a delight to be around. They welcome us with a warm greeting and always remember our order. We have also used the restaurant to cater big events at the college, and they were completely on top of everything and even offered extra complimentary items, which was a lovely surprise and hardly heard of in this economy.
