Now this place is arguably the best Korean fried chicken and beer spot in Riverside today. Welcome to Chimak House. The name itself is loosely translated as chicken and beer, so they gotta know what they're doing, right?

We'll start the meal off with a do it yourself soju cocktail kit. You can also show off a little bit of your cooking skills by putting these kimchi rice balls all together for you. Super delicious, super delectable, loved it. The rice cake and dog skewer is definitely a must try. Spam fries are super crispy and light, not salty like other places.

Now the bulgogi plate has gotta be top tier. After a quick palette cleansing with some peach soju, time to get to the good stuff, the wings. Their double fried method definitely keeps the crunch going. The garlic soy flavor was nice and savory. All the while the sweet and mild was nice and tangy. After some slaw and pickled radish, you know, we had to finish off with that great lemon pepper that everyone loves. Gotta check them out. Come through.

Why do places like this think they can charge ridiculous amounts for food just because it’s Korean. 5 chicken strips should not be $30

Came here because it's close to home and we wanted to try a new spot. When we arrived the atmosphere seemed really good and it was busy so we thought that was a good sign. After we were seated, at least 4 tables had food they never received. When we got our food the starter was missing the cheese we ordered, and it seemed they used a butane torch to try to melt the cheese after we asked for the cheese and it completely ruined the flavor of the food. The chicken we got was crunchy but way over seasoned and I wasn't able to finish my food because it was so overwhelming, also the amount of dipping sauce they give you isn't enough for the amount of chicken and fries we were served. It seems they have a single server and a single cook and it causes very slow service and many mistakes.

I live in LA. I’m currently planning the next time I can come to Riverside just to go to this restaurant again. If you’re in the area… go. For me.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our table was always taken care of. The food—oh my! The ribs were tender and smoky, the greens had the perfect balance of spice, and the mashed potatoes were creamy perfection. The cozy ambiance, decorated with southern charm, really set the mood for a great meal. It’s clear the owners put their heart into this place, and it shows. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Service is extremely slow, one server most of the time and they barely give you napkins.

The food here is amazing!!

I know this spot is known for its Fried Chicken but I was craving some Korean street food and they all HIT. THE. SPOT.

My friends and I got the spicy rice cake dish (its pretty spicy), spicy pork dish (my favorite!), and beef bulgogi (a little bland in my opinion but my friend enjoyed it). I tried the apple mango soju for the first time and it was really good! It was sweet but could def feel the effects after.

The interior has a cool bar like atmosphere. It feels like youre at a small bar in Seoul. They played Kpop on two different screens so the music complemented the food. The waitresses were all really nice too. There was a little bit of a wait even though it didnt seem like there was a lot of people, so expect a wait.

Ill have to come back next time to try their fried chicken too. Will post a updated review then!

fyi- the restaurant can be a little hard to find since its in the back corner of a plaza and theres no sign on the plaza. Once you drive in the plaza youll can find their yellow banner next to the sushi restaurant.

Chicken wings and fries are ridiculously crunchy and flavorful. The best wings and fries I have ever had. I definitely recommend trying the food here.

Flavor is important, but the texture with it makes it next level. You get both here.

Bummed out ! I ordered for pickup. It's located in a kind of odd area. So I wanted to sample their food. Check out the establishment and maybe return later for a dine-in. So I ordered the 10-piece lemon pepper chicken wing platter, on the picture when you order online comes with curly fries, cabbage salad and radish. The wings are okay. The curly fries a little bit too oily. But I was bummed out that you do not get the cabbage when you ordered to go. I called The Establishment and they said you only get the cabbage when you dine in but it cost the same.
