I first tried Chronic Tacos the summer of 2018. Being vegetarian, I tried their potato taco, and the 2nd time made it into a meal with beans, Spanish rice, chips and spicy mayo.
I made it back in 2020 when I learned they had Beyond Beef, and tried it on a burrito! I also made it in before 10 am to try the Beyond Beef on a breakfast burrito đŻ
It was really filling and turned into an all-day meal when I started off with mini churros đ
I ordered the burritos with white rice, as I was kindly advised the Spanish rice has chicken broth(!)
I wasn't made aware of this on my first visit when I ordered the Spanish rice with my potato taco, but fast forward to 2025 I was again made aware of this when I was about to order it with the Impossible Beef that they now carry.
I wish Chronic Tacos made vegetarian Spanish rice or made it clear on their menu that it is not, but I am so glad they have sustained a vegetarian beef option đ Spring Break week I picked up dinner to go twice, a good opportunity to support one of the few eateries open while the students are gone.
The Bowl-Rito starts at $10.25 plus Impossible Beef for $2 and guac for $2.25. It was a hefty bowl for $14.50 and turned into 2 meals. Similarly the Burrito version would also be $14.50 but for an add'l $1.50 I had to try the Hot Cheeto Burrito, and hubs and I both were surprised by how good they were! Adding the Cheetos made the burritos ginormous so they also became 2 meals, dinner and lunch the next day. I definitely recommend trying it!

love this place. my burritos are always bussin and PHAT. workers are super nice too
The meat for the tacos are bomb! And the environment was pretty cool. The painted roses on the wall stunning! I like it too because they have a jukebox and you can play your own musicâ¨
Food is good even though they always take long to make it. The only thing I donât like about here is the workers, theyâre always rude and it seems like they donât wanna be working there. Other than that I think this is a good place to eat on campus
the food was okay. if you get a bowl , they do give a lot. the workers here are always quick and nice. i just personally think you're better off getting halal shack if you're craving a bowl of some sort and you're in the

They have ruined the breakfast burritos. 2 months ago I realized how good their breakfast burritos were but since the start of winter 2024 semester they have changed how they make them. They are no where near as good as they were before.

Tightest burritos in Riverside
We are parents attending the university orientation. The chicken in the tacos were so salty, we couldn't eat them. We hate wasting foods but ....no choice.

Ordered a burrito for 10.95 not realizing they charge an extra dollar for carne asada. It was not carne asada it was more like charcoal asada as you can see by the picture. Not eating there ever again.

Came in on a rainy day, needed a plastic bag so my food wouldn't get wet. Asked lady working for a bag and she tells me "SoRrY SiR bAgS aRe oNlY fOr PaYiNg CusToMeRs". I told her that I have purchased food plenty of times in the past and she still said no. Like Oh my bad sorry for asking for a bag that cost 1 cent to make in some sweat shop in China.
While the food itself has reasonable flavor, on one instance there were bones in the chicken; another, hair in my guacamole. And who the hell charges for salsa when youâre already buying chips or a burrito? Try another campus spot
This is the third time I visit this location and find it closed early :(
I tried this place for the first time this evening, and it did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and courteous. Slight hiccup with my order, but it was corrected in a timely and respectful manner. The restaurant, as well as the restrooms, were clean. Overall, I had a good experience; the food is solid, and the vibes are chill.- Wrong location. This review is meant for the Menifee location.
