The best part of my work day is going to the UCR CBTL. They always greet me by name when I walk in. They know my drinks and how I like them. Javier is a great GM, he really trained Paula well! Thanks guys :p
I ordered a pick-up drink today, just a couple minutes ago, specifically a mango iced tea. I asked for it with very little ice and even left a note, in the special instructions, that it was okay if they couldn't do it. But when I got there, I waited a few minutes. I then overheard a man with curly brown hair mention my order, mocking what I requested along with his supervisor, I didn't get a good glance at her name tag but I think it said Roberta? She had her brown hair in a long and low braid and was wearing a white cap and white striped shirt. Anyways, she started joining in and they were making fun of what I requested very loudly and I heard everything. I usually love ordering drinks from here, especially since I don't drink coffee, but overhearing them make fun of a very simple request that shouldn't bother them in any way was very disheartening. All I asked was for little ice due to having very sensitive teeth, and I get to overhear them mocking and laughing at my request very loudly? Like, I understand. I work in customer service, especially fast food, but it was incredibly rude and disheartening.
I had a terrible experience at The Coffee Bean due to an incredibly rude and incompetent worker, Fidelia Lopez. When I was ordering my drink, she was dismissive and rude, making me feel uncomfortable. To make matters worse, she prepared the wrong drink and, despite me showing her my receipt with the correct order, refused to make a new one. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, and I felt completely disregarded as a customer. It's frustrating to have such poor service, especially when all I wanted was a simple frappucino. I won't be returning anytime soon.
my favorite dining spot on campus. i love the staff here and the manager is nice too! sometimes my drinks taste a little watered down though

Rude customer service. I was waiting on the backside chairs and missed their call(once facing the front, not sure they pronounced it right). They also place some drinks with names printed on to the side glass counter and checked those a couple of times. When I went up to them and asked if it's ready(mentioned it's been 25 minutes), was met with a "make sure you hear your name" from an employee(probably the same person another customer mentioned). Am I supposed to just keep listening to every single name for 5-10 minutes? Was first time ordering here.
Had to wait 15 min for a drip coffee so had plenty of time to see the store as they worked. Employees making the drinks was barely rinsing the mixing cups between orders, not cleaning them or using new utensils. As someone with allergies this is a huge red flag. Got my coffee after and was given the wrong size and wasn't told there was no milk or creamer to use and they had to add it. No way was I letting them touch open my drink again with how they were treating food safety and left. Had really enjoyed the other coffee beans I had gone to, but will never be back.

The mobile pickups do not include straws, even when people have requested to the employees to leave then on the cup. Considering the frequent traffic of customers at the shop, it is reasonable to suggest a straw cup to enhance customer convenience and minimize the workload for both customers and employees. The absence of straws appears to be inconsistent with the establishment's objective of providing a seamless and efficient experience for customers.

This location is worth driving to, eventhough it's on an university campus. Have coupons? Use them all in one transaction, if you would like. A little cramped inside, but plenty of room outside.

I’ve had a couple of minimal issues with this location before, but nothing to trip about, though today a young employee openly mocked me after I grabbed my mobile order because she didn’t understand what my special instruction meant. I wasn’t going to bore her with a specific explanation, so after I gave a basic answer and she looked confused, I just said nevermind, only to hear her loudly mocking me to a coworker before I had even left the store. I’m not going to post her name here, especially because she surely didn’t intend for me to hear, but I did and it definitely made me uncomfortable??♂️
The employees need to be more organized. They didn’t make my drink. After a while I asked them and they said they didn’t have my order. They even wanted to charge me again for a croissant that I had already in my hands and took it from me. Even after I showed them my recipe they kept looking on the computer for my order like if I was lying. Specially the guy that came to try to fix the problem really made me feel like I was trying to steal or something. They gave me the items after a while all cold already.
came earlier for some coffee and breakfast. i realized they were taking too long so i went to go ask and the rude barista (i don’t know her name but she was small and mexican) said it’s been sitting there and to pay attention next time. They got my name wrong that’s why i did not know i was called but yet she was so rude about it. this location needs better employees.
