DeMatteo's Pizza - Riverside

I’ve been going to Dematteo’s for 20 years now. This place has not changed at all. The pizza has never disappointed in the staff are always friendly and attentive. I’m from closer to the East Coast where most pizza places are decent. Here in California, this is the only pizza place that I can honestly say is comparableto East Coast Pizza.

Great pizza, awesome service

It was my first time there it was so good we got the veg pizza it was perfect! There was not a lot of sauce they did over power it They make other dishes there also and I can't wait to try there a plenty of seating and a TV.

Today I tried this pizza for the first time and Dakota was the one that took my order.. I ordered the lunch special of the personal pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage and I must say that when I got it , it was on point thick crust and perfect cheese pizza sauce and pepperoni and Italian sausage toppings on it … I gotta say it was one of the best pizzas I have had.. I wanna say thanks to Dakota, Hayden and Isabella for their outstanding service and for making my first time visit an outstanding time.. I definitely recommend you guys come check this place out .. overall 4.9 out of 5 stars… I definitely be coming back for lunch once a week when I have my therapist appt close by… thanks guys for the amazing service…

Pizza was okay prices are ridiculously high $28 for a medium Pizza I can buy the same pizza at D'caesaro pizza for a supreme pizza medium it's $21

Food is awesome. Garlic knots are great. All in all great restaurant .

I'm not understanding how people like their pizza. I ordered a large with Alfredo sauce, sausage, artichoke hearts and mushrooms and a small antipasto salad. The pizza was bland... sorry bland is an understatement... there was ZERO flavor. There was hardly any cheese on it and the crust was doughy.

The antipasto was missing the peppers is supposed to come with and we struggled to find the few bits of meat it had in it.

$50 after delivery fee and tip for mediocre food. Should have had domino's.

The crust was black and it was still the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. They were very friendly at pick up too!

This is my first visit to this establishment and I ordered a pizza (supreme) for lunch and it was good.I came back later for dinner and I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were served burnt and inedible. Paid $3 dollars extra for them!! They should be ashamed for the quality of food they served me. First and last visit from me!

My review isn't about the pizza, but rather the service and what I experienced. There was a gentleman inside the pizza place talking to everyone in the back, and the workers were petting his dog. As someone with allergies(allergic to dogs) I was so grossed out at the fact that NONE of the workers washed their hands after interacting with the dog yesterday. They went back to the program as if they did not just touch a dog, and continued to handle food and be at the register.
