I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. I love the food lab and have tried a bunch of spots in there and every time I have good luck and wind up liking the spots. I want to start off by saying the staff is super nice and the spot looks nice. I ordered the burrito and so did my best friend. My burrito was al pastor and hers was asada. I also ordered horchata and three plain tacos. Let me just say that my burrito had a really odd flavor. There was so much sauce and it was just not that good. My friend didn't even finish hers and kept saying we should have just gone to our regular food truck. The horchata didn't have any flavor to it it legit tasted like some weird milk ! It's so hard to mess up horchata I was upset. The limon and radish that came with the tacos did not look fresh at all. I'd definitely recommend skipping this spot and not wasting your money. I won't be returning.

Got the vegan options. The guac included in the tacos is vegan too btw. They have one more option which is tacos de nopales. Tbh they were pretty skimp overall. (Mostly tortilla and cabbage) Wouldn't get the mushroom again but would get the calabacitas / soyrizo again. It had good flavor. Mushroom was kinda bland. Tortillas taste fresh. Wanted to do this review because I found no other photos of their vegan options online. Could be better but I greatly appreciate the options. 3 tacos for $10 affordable in my opinion which is always nice.

I come all the way from San Diego. And it's worth it. Sometimes some of y tj here stuff they out of but that's because it's so good and they get short of supplies. But every they do have in stock is bomb dot com.

This place looks good, the food looks good, the staff is nice- but man are they slow. We ordered with absolutely no one in line...it still took forever to get a three taco plate and a burrito. I don't mind waiting if the food is good, nut in this case it wasn't. I didn't even eat the whole burrito and my wife couldn't even eat one taco and we just took our loss and threw it out. It was awful. After a few hours the food didn't sit well with me and unfortunately I had a lot of time sitting on the porcelain throne... I won't be coming back.

SAVE YOUR MONEY try ANY OTHER PLCE AT THE FOOD LAb BUT THIS PLACE!!! If I could leave zero stars I would they don't even deserve one This was my favorite place at the food lab This is my fifth and last time coming here I always spend more then 130$ each time I useto come in for drinks and food Unfortunately because of NICOLE rude and lying customer service She couldn't just remake my order for tacos because she messed up on my order herself and now she wanted me to pay for my 4 tacos She was very rude and because of that I tell y'all beware of her and her attitude It's so sad how one person can mess up a business

Stopped by with my mom for lunch expecting some good Mexican food but yeah horrible! Dry bread, no taste, overall bland food.I felt bad mostly for my mom because I wanted to treat her to a good meal, People save your money. I won't be back.

This is my fourth time to order takeout from this spot, and it was the best yet. Each time, I've chosen different items, and they've all been spot on in terms of complex flavours, thoughtful combinations, and quality ingredients. I especially like the taco choices and anything with pork. Last night, however, the "nachos" came to me. I put the word in parentheses, because these are WAY BETTER, and different than your typical mound of chips and cheese. I got the vegetarian options, with squash and sofritas and other veggies mixed in, layered with super tasty beans and crispy chips. The cheese on top was yummy and it melted a couple layers down. Though I was super hungry, I couldn't finish this plate and just had the second part for breakfast.

Bought the Darth Mariachi and the horchata. Horchata was watered down skim milk with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon for $3. The taco ($5) was pork belly but basically fat, not real meat just tough fat with Siracha sauce passing as red taco sauce. Massively disappointed. I didn't even finish my meal.
I wanted to try this place bc it looked so good on social media lol but I got the homie burrito it was good/also good amount! It was really big although they ran out of asada so I was a bit sad about that, I tried it with carnitas and it was still alright but next time I'll def get the asada! It wasn't too pricey as well. I also got the mango drink in the bigger cup/jarra and he added some chamoy, a candy stick called tarugo that has tamarindo and some mango slices it was bomb!! (-:

We come here often! There is nothing on the menu that we've tried that we have been disappointed with. Their drinks are delicious and their customer service is awesome. Check them out, they are located inside the food lab.

Man I really wanted this place to be good. I went with the 5150 nachos. I picked asada and barbacoa. The food took a bit to come out. Weird since there were no other customers. It was time to dig in. Let me say this, these nachos were a wreck. The nachos were not memorable for sure. I felt like these nachos were begging for a life preserver because they were drowning in the green avocado sauce. The part i did like was the fried cheese on top of the nachos. The asada was also good. I think they should probably put the sauces on the side this way the nachos don't get soggy. I didn't eat much of the nachos. I ended up tossing about 3/4 of the nachos. For me, this combo did not work at all. Would I return to this joint, NOPE!
