We had an incredible meal from start to finish! Highly recommend the filet with peppercorn sauce on the side. We loved that we could bring our own bottle of wine and pay a very reasonable cork fee. Dessert was divine! They brought a slice of tiramisu to celebrate our daughter in law's 30th birthday and that thoughtfulness made the experience extra special.
Overall, we had a great experience. Our servèr was outstanding, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We've been coming to Duanes to celebrate special occasions for many years, and overall we continue to count them as one of our dining choices. I only have one issue/recommendation, and that is the French onion soup has declined in quality over time, but overall, the menu choices have remained consistent over the years.
This place is great fun. The food is fantastic; the service just right. The wines by the glass were pricy, but that is what cocktails are for! Totally recommend!
Love Duane's! Service was great (Marco), food fantastic, quiet and able to talk. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Always quality food but even better is the attention to detail. The customer service is top-notch. I've never had a bad experience here. One of our favorite restaurants
The cocktails were good. Steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The roasted baby carrots were a pleasant surprise and tasted like Thanksgiving. The only deterrent was the Caesar salad. It was a bit watery, either from the lettuce or the consistency of the dressing. However, they had a crouton crumble on the salad that was delicious. It's not inexpensive, but if you want a nice dinner out, it fits the bill.
We went to Duane's to celebrate a birthday looking forward to a fine dining experience. The steaks were excellent and perfectly prepared, however the rest of our experience was very underwhelming. Our waiter was not as professional as we would expect (didn't know the liquor selection, his timing was between a bit pushy and not present at all, and was not very personable), though our second waiter was excellent and provided great and professional service. Our cocktails came in warm glasses which affected the taste and some were not prepared as expected. The starters were the most unappealing aspect of our meal. The salads were not fresh or special and certainly not worth the price. The burrata salad had bland tomatoes and a random splotch of iceberg on the plate which was very unappetizing. We ordered the apple tart turnover for dessert, and while it was specially decorated for the birthday, the tart turnover was comparable to a McDonald's apple pie. This is our second visit to Duane's and these same problems occurred on both occasions. It also should be noted that not all diners followed the dress code which impacted the ambience. We love the Mission Inn and are glad it offers what should be the finest dining experience in Riverside--we are eager to have an improved upscale dining experience.
My husband and I came for our anniversary and the food was excellent. The waiter was nice although he did forget about us for awhile. Besides that we had a great time.
We were basically kicked out for snapping a few pictures during dinner. A security came running in and told us we couldn't take pictures on our phones. We left.
Steak was tough. Wagyu should be tender but this wasn't marbled like usual and was difficult to eat. $100 for essentially a $2 steak. The lobster tail was rubbery and difficult to cut. But the creamed spinach was good.

Mashed potatoes & mushrooms tasted different... maybe a new cook? Besides that our waiter wasn't really attentive with us and half the time we had to look for him. Probably won't come back.
I liked the steak and seafood was delicious great price nice atmosphere waiting for next special event.
We stayed at the Mission Inn for our anniversary weekend, and ate at Duane's for our anniversary dinner. I had the filet mignon and my husband the New York steak with peppercorn sauce. Both were delicious! I had French Onion soup and my husband the escargot for appetizers. Those were okay. Our waitress Alisa was wonderful and very attentive. My only complaint was that I made the reservation well in advance on Open Table, indicating it was our anniversary, but we got a so-so table in the upper room, and when I asked for one in the lower room, the hostess declined. And nothing said about our anniversary. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Amazing dinner and service. We come once a year while on vacation in Palm Springs. Totally worth the hour drive!
My husband and I went for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and the meal was amazing. From our starters to our dessert it was delicious. Hubby started with the French onion soup then the steak Diane. Every bite was delicious. I had shrimp cocktail then the lobster and garlic mash potatoes. Again every bite was delicious. Ended with the Creme Brule and it was devine.
