Lived in California 25 years...live in India now. Visiting California after 20 years and the food at El Pollo loco on van buren brought back so many memories. Superb tacos el cabin, just the same or better.

I love the fresh guacamole. I'm pleasantly surprised for a drive thru. I'm craving the chicken guacamole again today. This is going to become a habit, and I never eat fast food. So yes, 5 stars for this one on Van Buren.

Excellent quick service. Great food of my choice. I usually get Original Pollo bowl ($5:41) with green sauce or 3 Tacos Al Carbon, that is plenty of food for me since I am trying to keep my weight under control. I don’t get and meal deals to avoid carbs and sugar intake. I usually request some green chillies (Serrano) on the side and the servers are usually very kind to provide chillies. This particular restaurant is my favorite since it’s near my house and their food is cooked on fire not in the microwave. I Love this location.
