I’ve been to many Peruvian restaurants across Northern and Southern California, and this one was by far the most disappointing. I ordered the Ají de Gallina, and it had no real ají flavor — just a yellow, mustardy sauce with no depth or authenticity. My boyfriend ordered the pechuga with rice, and they literally served the thinnest slice of chicken I’ve ever seen for the price — it was insane.
Highly, highly disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s a small hole-in-the-wall spot in Banning that tastes way better and costs less. Definitely not coming back.

Excellent service and food. The staff is so kind and welcoming, and they have a huge menu with genuine Peruvian food to choose from. Perfect for any Peruvian family or anyone who just wants a great bite to eat! The inside is really clean and provides a great place to relax with good food after walking through Downtown Riverside.

I love Peruvian food and this was my first time at this location and I was pretty impressed! Food was very fresh! I got lomo saltado and it was delicious! The fries were also very golden and good! You can tell they use fresh oil to cook the fries! I wish the AC was colder in the building but I get it the heat out here ain’t easy. Other than that very clean and fresh food! Def will come back!

Completely forgot about my Chicha Morada, didn't approach the table a single time after bringing the food and the food was bland. Only thing good was the green salsa and the atmosphere. Overhyped.

Nice and relaxing atmosphere and the food was so delicious. The lady at the register was really nice and accommodating. I felt very well taken care of all the way from Florida. I would eat here again.

The food and service was amazing! I would definitely come back if Im near the area. The food is fresh and flavorful. (I wish I would have taken pictures of it all but I was too hungry and it just smelled SO good in thete when we walked in.) Get the ceviche! It’s SOLID!!! And our server was very helpful in answering questions about the menu and helping us find options.

There are so many things about this place that piss me off.
DEMAND FREE WATER FROM THIS PLACE. DON'T PAY FOR BOTTLED WATER.
1. No free water
2. petty end of the world measly portions
3. Inauthentic taste.
4. French fries in the Lomo Saltado.
5. NO FREE WATER (oops did I already say that?)
In California, restaurants are legally required to offer free tap water to customers.
This requirement is mandated by California Health and Safety Code Section 113707. It states that any food facility must provide drinking water to customers free of charge upon request. This law has been in place for many years and is intended to ensure public health and access to hydration.

I’m convinced this place maybe possibly has hired a business or told a bunch of family members to post a ton of fake 5 star reviews after receiving TONS of one star reviews.
This place has super weak greedy portions, is way overpriced, and it is not “peruvian” at all. It is peruvian inspired, but not peruvian cuisine.
They served literally french fries with their pretend “lomo saltado” on a very overpriced skimpy $20.00 plate. They charge for water bottles when you ask for water instead of just having a fountain where you can get water and refill it. The way this place suddenly has a wave of 5 star reviews seems suspicious.
Overpriced dishes, underserved petty portions. They serve dishes like they were running out of food. They do not serve well here. I cannot emphasize enough how weak the portions are for the price. A $20 plate of lomo saltado and i was hungry an hour after leaving the place. $1.50 fee for paying with a debit card.
I felt ripped off and taken advantage of when I walked out of this place.
The owners should visit Mario’s Peruvian in hollywood on Melrose or District Rico in Washington DC to learn what actual Peruvian food consists of.

Their Tallarian de marisco was delicious. My husband got the beef one, and he really like it. Friendly and great service.
