Everything was really good except for the poor customer service given to me by my server. He could use a little training and instruction as to what to do if a blind person walks in and sits down at a table. First of all I had no idea that he had given me anything to drink. He had, but me being blind, I do not know that there is a drink there unless you say, “your drink is to your left,” or hands me my drink. None of that was said, nor was any of that done. So, I had no clue that a drink was there. I found my drink off to the left which I drank. Secondly I had no idea that there was any chips and salsa. I have to be shown where this stuff is like what my previous waiter/server Victor did for me. He said, “your drink is off to your right, and your chips and salsa are right here in front of you,” and Victor showed me where the dish of chips is and where the dish of salsa is. Nothing like this was ever done for me today. People from Blindness Support Services Incorporated love when this is done, because we know where everything is. Thirdly, you can not expect a blind man to know where to sign. He just dropped off my card, the pen and the receipts. He did not show me at first where to sign. After I waved my hands in the air then he came over and I asked him which one do I sign?” He said the top one. Normally someone tells me to sign this copy, and puts their finger where I am to sign. Overall, I want Victor Everytime I. Come in there and sit down for lunch. The customer service that I got today was terrible. I definitely would never recommend this guy to people at blindness support services incorporated just down the street from your restaurant on magnolia avenue and Beatty drive in riverside

Went for Sunday buffet food had a great flavor but was cold. Maybe the trick is to come when they first open we came around noon idk but didn’t like the cold food our server was great though but for 40 I expect warm food at the very least

Don’t understand why the music is so loud. Like a club, not to mention the Spanish rap. How does one relax and enjoy your meal. With the music pounding in your head and ears.

This exact thing has happened not once but twice now! Last night my party of 6 ate on the patio. When I received my bill ( the paper ) there were 3 different totals. I informed the waitress and she said oh it’s because it’s one table or something crazy. Next they told the other person in the party her card was declined. Long story short when speaking to the manager trying to fix the mistake the waitress said the manager should call the police on us. I was with my MIL and friends who are all 70 +. When I pulled up my bank on my phone they had called me over 200.00 for a salad, enchiladas and water. In total they ended up charging us a total of over 600 dollars. I requested they call the police for fraud but they did not. I have not patronized this business since the exact same situation happened at a happy our I attend yrs. ago. Needless to say I will not be back. I hole heartedly believe El Torito is getting away with this when some the costumers are not paying attention. The manager kept giggling like this was a joke. No what it is is a scam.

I haven't been to an El Torito in years, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it another try. We got sat quickly, you can tell with this location renovations haven't been done in a while. It has a musty smell to the place, and the decor and lighting were just bland. The menus need to be cleaned better. They were sticky and falling apart. You have to press down on the plastic part just to be able to read what the menu says.
We tried the platter for an appetizer, which comes with a variety of different food. The only good things on that plate were the quesadilla and the flautas. The nachos had an odd taste to them, and the disappointing chicken nuggets that were tossed in a very vinegary buffalo sauce were very off-putting.
To eat, i tried the tacos vamprino with asada. Took 2 bites and stopped eating. The tacos come with guacamole and other toppings yet still somehow were bland. And the cold corn tortilla was a nice touch to the bad tacos. My boyfriend took 2 bites of his enchiladas and didn't really eat them either.
To drink, I ordered a mangonada that was supposed to have liquor in it. I really do not drink alcohol often, but there wasn't an ounce of liquor in that cup.
The only highlights of this experience was from a server who was quick and attentive. Never once had to flag him down and he didn't forget everything. Didn't get his name to give him a proper compliment.
Would we be back. No chance. Unless El Torito gets a full remodel and menu change then maybe.

The selection of food was absolutely better than we expected! i have previously had really bad service, but I have to say i was pleasantly pleased. They shine on the Brunch!!
We're there at the exact time and we had to wait outside for 25 minutes. Besides that we wanted an outdoor table for the two of us. When we walked into the the greeting person who was told that we wanted a outdoor table she said that she only seated a party of 4 or more and she said she had an inside table

Went to Taco Tuesday with coworkers with a RSVP at 5:15 p.m. we arrived on time and table for 9 was not set up. Once set up, waitress took about 20 minutes to take our order and brought us drinking water, then we waited an additional 1 hour to get our food even though we order appetizers, then waited another 15 minutes to get the check. When we got there, the restaurant was nearly empty in the patio area (where we had RSVP), however about 15 different people walked in and they were served first and were very confused about that; as we waited patiently although we were very hungry at that point. At this point there were only 6 of us since the rest of our coworkers were not able to wait. We've been here before and ate inside which was a quicker turnaround in service. We noticed one of the waitress seem to be in a bad mood and didn't see our waitress for an hour. We like this location because it's easy to go after work since it's close proximity. The happy hour is good...we are concerned that we have to find a new location to meet for dinner next time.

Erika was the best server we could have had. She went above and beyond. Very attentive and fast. Above all very honest , had charged us for the guacamole that we never received and fixed our checked before we even noticed . Will definitely go back and request to be seated where she is servicing.
