Came in to this El Torrito yesterday. Was told we could only get happy hour items if we sat at the bar area, we say ok and begin heading that way. The only open tables are completely dirty still stacked with peoples old plates and food. Host says “oh we can clean one for you if you want.”At this point I say it’s okay, we can sit in the restaurant it wasn’t worth saving $5 on an appetizer at this point.It’s then that we are sat right next to the biggest leak in the ceiling. It is not raining, however this leak is splashing all over a DINNING TABLE in which they have lined with rags and what look like food catering metal tubs (like the ones that hold meat to keep it warm)This leak is so large that the drops are hitting the metal buckets and the dinning table they have them propped on and quite literally splashing as drops fall.Meanwhile people are being sat around this health and safety violation.If a server was walking by that with a tray of food, I could almost guarantee your meal could be contaminated.Manager (assuming she was the manager since it seemed like a name tag was not in her uniform) moved one family out of the Seaworld splash zone then grabbed a broom and dustpan and began to spot sweep around the restaurant as if that was the biggest issue they needed to attend too.I won’t return to this location.No customers should have been sat in that area, seeing how the entire restaurant side was 95% empty

Our Waiter was great however when we got there we ordered drinks immediately and we didn't get our cocktails until after we got our food. that really sucked. But on the plus side they were really strong drinks.

El Torito in Riverside, California is one of the best here. My family and I come down and are always taken care of. Service is fantastic, the food quality and ambiance is super chill and relaxing! Their prices have always been fair, but mostly the quality of restaurant it is. Victor Perez always takes care of us, he's super kind, welcoming and gives us his best service. And that's what you want! People that love their job and care! Awesome job El Torito!! No matter how tough the economy gets, don't ever close please!!!
