Loved this place! The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. They had music playing over the jukebox which was nice. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. I ordered two carnitas tacos and two birria tacos and both were delicious. The horchata tasted supper fresh and was perfectly cold. Price was extremely reasonable if not cheap for the caliber of food.
There is a huge difference between food cooked using oil, and food cooked using rendered fat or “MANTECA”.
If you are not familiar with the difference then it can be hard to understand or even imagine the incredible difference that it makes.
For a conoseur like me it is important that establishments like this are preserved just the way they are. There is something intangible but so clear here, you can feel it in the air and taste the difference.
