🥩 Unassuming Charm, Exceptional Steaks: A Review of JD's Mission Steakhouse 🌟
We celebrated a great first visit to JD's Mission Steakhouse on Saturday, December 13th at 6:00 PM, and we’re already planning our return.
This restaurant offers a very relaxed, low-key atmosphere—it definitely leans into an older, classic steakhouse vibe with its simple booth and table seating. The exterior is quite unassuming and could use better lighting, and the interior isn't modern (we were slightly surprised by the presence of TVs), but don't let the dated look fool you.
### Culinary Highlights & Details:
* **The Steaks:** The stars of the show!
We ordered the New York Strip (with asparagus and a baked potato) and the Ribeye (with garlic mash and roasted corn). Both were cooked to absolute perfection. Though they carried a bit more external fat than expected, the flavor was superb and ultimately delicious.
* **Sides:**
The sides were solid across the board—the garlic mash, baked potato, asparagus, and roasted corn all complemented the main courses well.
* **Appetizer/Bread:**
The Caesar salad was just okay. The complimentary dinner rolls were a split decision: my wife loved them, but they weren't my preference.
**The Defining Factor: Exceptional Service**
The true highlight of the evening was the incredible customer service. Our server (a friendly young lady with red hair, whose name we regrettably missed) was incredibly friendly, attentive, and patient. Her attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience.
**To our server:**
Thank you! Your excellent service is the best part of our visit.
Summary
While JD's Mission Steakhouse's exterior is dark and the interior lacks modern flair, the combination of fantastic steak flavor and outstanding customer service makes it a clear winner. We look forward to returning soon to continue supporting this local gem!

Went for a birthday celebration and had a great time. The service and food was beyond great.
My sister loves this place and I agreed to meet her, my brother-in-law and my niece there. I arrived first and was underwhelmed by the decor. BUT!!! Do NOT let that turn you away! The hostess was kind and friendly and asked if I wanted to be seated first but I said I would wait. After my family arrived, we were seated promptly and the service by Oscar was exceptional! He was professional but so helpful, pleasant and friendly, he really made the evening a great experience! And the food is amazing! We shared the brussel sprouts - so yummy and crispy! (We ordered the balsamic dressing on the side.) I had the lamb and it was seasoned well and cooked perfectly to my request! The asparagus was tender-crisp and the chipotle mac and cheese was delicious! It was not soupy or mushy - nice al dente with a nuanced smokey flavor. They have a new drink menu and the martinis we saw on the way out looked great! They also have a Sunday Brunch which I will have to try!

Fried chicken was crispy, but no flavor. And my veggies were a mix of under cooked and mushy. Mashed potatoes were ok. 1 - 10 I give it a 2 and price was kind of outrageous. It was ok. Almost no body in there for a thursday night. Quite.

The recommended steaks were middle of the road not exceptional did not stand out as really good. Sampler plate was all right. Service was friendly and attentive. Ambience was OK. Had two big screens to watch a football game. There was no wait for a table. If you’re really hungry and don’t wanna wait this is a place to go.

The food didnt take fresh it had no flavor
I should have known when I saw the letter C the window for rating
it was very blend in my opinion the chef need to step up and add some flavor
Seasoning or ingredients mixed within the food to give it flavor and tast
I purchased carne asada fries
As an appetizer I was looking for the carne asada.. I found two small pieces and the resr cheese sadly to say that cheese did not even taste like cheese.. fake cheese
My main dish was ribeye I ordered medium rare it came rare it came bloody the meat was not fresh it had a old small to iit not taste or seasoning
Side dish mac and cheese taste like the mac out of a box when I was in elementary
Made out of Velveeta plastic food
JD's Mission Steakhouse lacks authentic recipes time to get a new chef
Home made recipes in the kitchen
My one hundred and thirty dollar bill was worth ten bucks
The only thing I enjoyed was the hot rolls
Sadly to say the C grade letter on the outside window was telling truth about this restaurant
I don't see tasty returning to this place any time soon

Delicious steak with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff! Recommend getting the filet mignon, but there's a lot of options to choose from. The desserts are great too. Cheers!

Don't let the outdoor appearance fool you. 😁
We're new kids on the block. It's our 4th day in Jurupa Valley & we found this delicious steak house.
It was Sunday, just missed brunch so had dinner at 230pm. It wasn't really busy. The music was from our generation, the 90s. Our server was OSCAR & he was amazing. Very attentive, great attitude & gave us great attention without being overwhelming.
The food YUMMY! Started off with some fresh guacamole, fresh made tortilla chips & a special order of spicey salsa. HOLY MOLLY! 😋 I couldn't stop eating it! 😂
Next, the boys ordered Ribeye steak platers. Very tasty , good texture meat. Us girls had one California Salad and a cesar salad with grilled chicken on side. The dressings & meat tenderness delicious. Soup of the day, chicken cream soup. Lots of chunks of chicken, tender veggies, creamy sauce. So satisfying.
2 shots, 3 beers & 3 ice teas under $240. We'll be coming back to experience their brunch next Sunday. Can't wait!! 🤩
