The place is good for a few beers with friends. They have a wide selection of seafood dishes. The ambiance is lively. The staff is friendly and responsive.
The food is on the pricier side. The minimum plates were in the $20-$30 range. And it went up to $40-$50. The price is typical for this type of establishment. And the amount of food was decent.
The sad part, the flavor. I ate a campechana (Mexican seafood mix dish) and the flavor was very bland. The seafood mix looked like it came from a pre-cut, pre-cooked frozen food mix. I've bought similar mix when in a hurry. The shrimp was whole, but not cooked with a whole lot love. I kept adding, lime, Chile, and salt trying to find the flavor.
It is a cool place hang out, it has a good vibe. But if you are looking for a culinary experience, you might be disappointed.

Food was really good! The tostadas de ceviche were big portions and delicious. I like how the food plates are presentable. Family friendly and they have a kid's menu section. The only thing I disliked was the restrooms; they are for one individual and we had to wait in line.

Foods good however our waitress was horrible. Not sure why.. been coming here for a couple years now always tipped always tried to be friendly but man last couple times the waitress attitude stinks.
We were at the Cheech museum when we got hungry and started searching for a place to eat we really lucked out when we found Ixtapa The food was so delicious The employees were so welcoming I've never had Mexican food that authentic I would recommend this place to anybody who was in the area it's the perfect place thank you to everybody who works at Ixtapa !!

Great food and atmosphere with soccer playing on the tv screens. Quesobirilla was awesome. Taco Tuesdays had good quality tacos. We shared a nachos carnitas as an appetizer. Generous portions. Came in Ina Tuesday for lunch. Easy parking and not so crowded. Will definitely return.

✨ Service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious! The ribs were soft and tender, the breaded shrimp perfectly crisp, and even the fries were great 🍤🍟. The coleslaw could use a little upgrade, but overall I was impressed. I loved that they offer refills on the aguas frescas 🥤—so refreshing! The vibe was just right: old-school Banda playing 🎶, dim lighting for a cozy feel, and a mix of families, couples, and friends enjoying their time together. Would absolutely recommend 👍🏼!
