El Campeon Carniceria Market

Really nice people came to the laundry at and got hungry and was pleasantly surprised to find an amazing market I got a carne asada burrito and tomatillos tomatoes onions. Really great 👍🏻

I spend about 1/3 of my time in Mexico and when I'm here I'm always on the lookout for great tacos, especially carnitas and al pastor. So far the carnitas at El Campeon are the best or equal to the best I've had in the USA. Several years ago I bought some carnitas to go and they had a lot of fat on them. I didn't know they still needed to be seared in a skillet and that extra fat was necessary. My ignorance. It would be nice if they served jamaica but usually they only have horchata. We've been there on Taco Tuesday a couple of times and the service was still pretty fast and the prices were great.

I was hoping they were affiliated to El campeon taqueria in San Clemente, no luck, but staff was friendly, prices are a little more than three El campeon and the flavor is not even close, but I can see myself stopping here again and grabbing something to eat.

Ordered a birria taco and horchata, birria meat was mostly fat, and maybe 20% meat, horchata was stale. You don't want to eat anything here.

Fast and excellent service

The food is too good to not make the drive to Riverside for. Friendly service and the quintessential Mexican groceries are reasonably priced. Highly recommend getting the carne asada fries!

FINALLY found a bomb carne asada burrito in the area!

I came in because I was in the area and wanted to try the specials. Wednesday was burrito for $7.99 and if you know anything, burritos go for up to $20 these days so I didn't expect much for the price, BUT MAN. THIS WAS WORTH IT AND MORE.

I decided to get asada bc that's how you know if a place is really good, if something as simple as their asada is tender.birbwas ! And almost the size of my head! Definitely will return for their other specials when I'm in the area.

Menudo had good flavor, but meat was very dirty and way overcooked. Not going back..sorry

Add More meat to your burritos $10 for rice and beans and little Carne

The butcher was awesome. He was friendly and attentive. I got overcharged for a pack of tortillas. Not sure if on purpose or accident. But the food from the cooks was delicious. Needs a larger variety of product in my opinion. But a nice al in all place to grab a few necessary items and some good priced take out freshly made food.
