I love shabu, and this place just lacks in many ways.
No kombu, their original is just thier own lackluster blend of greens.
Iced matcha is made too powdery
Edamame is overboiled and unsalted
Bok choy was stinky
Goma sauce is watery and way too sweet.

First time at this restaurant. UCR tuff, so it can be crowded; I like the atmosphere, small and cozy. The shabu tech is awesome! The broth is great. I ordered too much and ended up taking half of it home. Awesome customer services! Next time I will try the meat option.
Vegetarian options: It actually listed on the menu what is vegetarian and plenty to choose from
Parking: Not familiar with the area, but from what I could see, plenty of parking.

- my forever go to favorite hot pot restaurant in Riverside (the only good one that exist here in this lacking good food desert)
- I always order their original broth. highly recommend and it's free compare to other soup base
- Ask for their hot drops if you love spicy. I get at least 5 in my soup (beat my record)
- Beef toro quality is superb so yummy~! It's my go to and always get it marinated with garlic and green onions
- Service may vary depending on the worker and days. Sometimes very slow but most of the times fast (go weekday because less people and more quality service)
- My secret tip for this place is to ask for their free rice and veggie refill! High CP value o.o
- Ask for their garlic and green onion on the sides to level up the soup
tldr: must go hot pot restaurant for your shabby cravings because its the only good one in Riverside

This place was an amazing first shabu shabu experience. Good sized portion, delicious seasonings, great service. We got the 2 person special and we feel like we got our money’s worth. Can’t wait to come back.

This is a shabu-shabu and hot pot restaurant. This is an individual hotpot for one person. The meat is fresh and of good quality. The price range is not low, but I am satisfied. You can choose your base soup, and I chose the spicy pork broth base. For the meat, I chose extra large size brisket (20 pieces). Vegetables were provided as standard, but I felt they were a bit lacking. Perhaps it can be added for an additional fee. The quality of the meat was very good and fresh. The spiciness wasn't very spicy and if you want it spicier, you can ask for it. The staff is friendly and very responsive

Some lapses in service and quality but worth it. To echo another review I saw, could have benefited from a how-to from the servers on how to work the stoves(could easily see a first-timer like myself not even turning it on), or how the dining experience is supposed to go. Regardless we just asked questions and figured it out, no big deal. Got served some bottom of the pot burnt steamed rice, which was also a shame but again no big deal. Food was really good, no complaints about the quality of meat or broth. When I go back I won't get the marinade option because honestly you can't taste a major difference. Total price for two people with an appetizer and two drinks, plus a reasonable tip, about $110.

We came in a rainy Saturday and it was pretty packed. We to join their virtual wait list on yelp and in person. The wait was about 35 minutes in total. The food came out in a timely manner and the server was super nice. He checked on us a few good times. The food was so good and we want to return in the future!

After reading the review from this restaurant I want to try out this place. It’s my first time coming here. Btw we got there around 7pm and 20 minutes later two people came in suddenly got their seats before us. Beside that I never got an explanation from my server if he ask me it’s my first here or would you like to explain how we order your food. I order a spicy broth with beef belly. The spicy broth nothing special just water with spicy powder. I thought I would have more flavor in the broth and vegetables was okay. As soon as I got my broth and meat. I dip my meat and bowl of broth was cooking like other patrons. I had to as the server if I need to turn on something the bowl. Luckily a patron explain there is a setting on the table to cook your bowl. I would rate this place 4/10. I won’t come back to this restaurant. I would rather try a traditional hot pot restaurant. Also they forgot my noodle before I finish my meal.
