We were very excited to try this restaurant after hearing so many good things, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing.
We were seated immediately and placed our order quickly, but then waited over 1.5 hours for our food. During that time, someone who arrived after us were served earlier. It felt like being Korean meant getting served “faster”, even ahead of those who had waited much longer. Very disappointing experience. We won’t come back anymore. They lost us forever

This is me and my girlfriends go-to spot, our usual is Tofu soup and beef bulgogi along with pork or chicken katsu.

While the food is pretty tasty, service is not great. We went during dinner time and there was only one young man manning the register, the rice and banchan counter, the customers etc. we sat there for literally 30 min waiting to have our order taken. The table wasn’t clean. We had been there twice before and so we know that the food is pretty tasty, but unfortunately service is not great. Won’t be going back.

The tofu soup here blew me away. I didn’t have expectations because I’ve been disappointed by other restaurants before, but I ordered the vegetable soondubu (has broccoli, cauliflower, and mushroom with egg on the side to drop in) and the flavor of the broth was insanely good. I HIGHLY recommend getting tofu soup here and I definitely will be bringing friends and recommend in this spot. The banchan though was just ok.

Their food has become comfort food for me. I really love their kimchi tofu soup and stone hot pot bibimbap. They have become the restaurant in which I compare other Korean restaurants, and they keep being the best.

I ordered the triple tofu soup today, but to my dismay, I received chopped-up segments of tubular intestine in my soup. Some of these segments even contained mushy fecal matter. Perhaps I am mistaken, but in general, tripe refers to cow stomach. If a dish includes intestines, it is usually specified in the name.

I would have reluctantly accepted the inclusion of intestines if they had been properly processed. However, the intestines were not even cut open (still in their tubular shape), and given their small diameter (which I believe is from the small intestine), they could not have been properly cleaned. This is an absolute failure to meet health and safety standards.

I am writing this to warn others who enjoy tripe not to make the same mistake I did.

Every time I come here it never fails to satisfy me. The bibimbap is amazing and the tofu soups come out in stone bowls and they stay so hot throughout your meal. Oh and the kimchi is great too, I always have to ask for seconds!!

On the way back to Laguna Beach from Palm Springs, I found a Korean restaurant.
The side dishes taste like mom made.
Thank you for allowing me to heal like this.
Also, it was much more comfortable and nice thanks to the very friendly male staff wearing a soju hat. I think you are an employee who loves Korea. Please praise the boss a lot ^^

This place is amazing!! It's like a little whole in the wall jewel. I love their food. This time, I took my mother, who is super picky about her food. She loved it and wanted to go back soon. We had the tofu dumpling soup with the Korean pancakes. As always, it hit the spot.
