I went in a few weeks ago to inquire about some cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday. The older man that was helping at the service counter was honestly very rude and short. I decided to try a cupcake before I put in an order and I felt like the cupcake was very dry and artificial. I really wanted to support a small business but just felt like the customer service was so poor that I literally just walked out after taking one bite of that cupcake. I didn’t even finish eating it because it was so mediocre. I would definitely not recommend this bakery to any friends or family in the future.

Perfect smash cake for my 1 year old. Came down from TX, had a conversation over the phone with a few email exchanges and they delivered, exactly what we asked for.

This review is long overdue. I ordered cupcakes back in February for my mother‘s birthday. I didn’t have a picture, but I wanted Dodger cupcakes. She is a huge fan.The baker knew exactly what I wanted and the cupcakes came out amazing! I would definitely order again for special events.

We have ordered multiple cakes & pies from Greg and each one was amazing. Most recently we ordered a 95th birthday cake for our mom. Our guests raved about how moist it was and not too sweet.
We are definitely going to order future items.
We love this place!!

Simply Cakes made our wedding cake and a few birthday cakes. They were professional, friendly and made the most beautiful and yummy cakes ever! They spend time with you and listen to what you want. Their suggestions are right on! Each cake was ready just as promised! I highly recommend Simply Cakes for that special event or any time you want to add beauty and deliciousness to your menu! They also bake the best cookies! Don’t leave without some to take home! You and your family will be glad you did!
My husband passed by to get me some cupcakes before noon since I've been craving something funfetti flavor. He also got strawberry and oreo cupcakes and some cookies. The cookies were okay, I think he got a snickerdoodle and something chocolate coconut. I was very disappointed with the cupcakes. They didn't taste freshly made. They tasted like if they have been refrigeratored for some days. I couldn't taste anything else besides the old fridge flavor.
Cake was so good and professional.

Absolutely delicious treats
They make wonderful cakes. Getting another one soon
The reviews that are commenting on the owners attitude are true. I have gone there to ask about wedding cakes. His demeanor isn't pleasant . Idk how his cakes taste bc I never went back, but his approach sucks. He needs to hear the truth and maybe make an adjustment. You can have great tasting cakes but if the customer service isn't good, you'll lose business.
I spoke with Greg twice on the phone to arrange a cake tasting pick up for my friends' wedding. In the first call, he gave me the information I asked for and reprimanded me for not calling months earlier. I thought the lecture was out of line, but I just thanked him and hung up.The next call was to place the $30 order for the 5 cake samples, and I was met with another condescending lecture on how the wedding is coming up soon and I only have a few months to get the cake sorted out. He asked why I didn't call earlier to place the order for the samples, and then spoke defensively about what I saw as miscommunication and lack of clarity about the bakery's process. He interrupted and spoke over me several times while giving his lecture.I'm grateful that my sweet, stressed friends didn't have to interact with Greg. My advice to those looking into ordering from Simply Cakes for an event: Only call, do not email. Do not expect empathy or a quick and pleasant exchange of information if you get Greg on the phone. Check out the negative Yelp reviews (many of them are about Greg's behavior). If you decide not to go with them, I recommend Tasteful Cakes and Layers & Co nearby. My advice to Simply Cakes as a business: Help Greg understand how he is driving away customers, or keep him away from the phone. You have no idea what your customers' circumstances are, and I'm sure almost no one calls your bakery for a lecture from a complete stranger."Before you speak ask yourself if what you are going to say is true, is kind, is necessary, is helpful. If the answer is no, maybe what you are about to say should be left unsaid." -Bernard MeltzerWe will be going elsewhere for the wedding cake.
