Very hit and miss when it comes to the food and the service. Sometimes it tastes just fine (though I am not a big fan of the tiny gourmet tacos as they are impossible to pick up and eat). Sometimes you get lucky with an attentive server. Sometimes you get completely ignored by whoever is on staff. Sometimes the food is stale and not tasty. I will look for more consistency at one of the three or four other Mexican restaurants on this stretch of Van Buren blvd.
Tacos Al Fuego is such a fun spot! The interior is super colorful and well decorated, giving it a lively vibe that makes it perfect for a night out. I loved that they have a salsa bar with so many great options 🌶️ The food was excellent — the Fuego Burrito was huge and loaded with flavor, and the Taco Perron really hit the spot.
