My pre-COVID19 almost-daily Habit!

Since covid I've continued to avoid crowds, lines, and indoor seating, and this location is always packed. However, being located on campus was a plus for me because they never messed up my vegetarian requests, (as an off-campus location repeatedly has) so I had retained the 5 star rating until now.

May 2025 our local Habit Burger Grill advised they would be discontinuing the Impossible Burger patty by the middle of May, and it appears that applied to its restaurants nationwide. The Impossible was their tastier vegetarian option, as the vegan veggie patty they have retained tastes more like Gardenburger.

My pics uploaded to this location will show I regularly enjoyed their colorful garden salad 🍅, without onions + added avocado 🥑, but it appears this has been replaced with the Garden Ranch salad, replacing the healthy carrots with aged white cheddar 🧀🤔
Retaining the remainder of my prior reviews of items which are now dietary triggers for me:

One of my go-to's was a garden salad with a side of tempura green beans (I try to remember to request No salt), always with ranch.
Summer 2019 I tried a twist on my usual, a small side salad and sriracha lime spicy green beans. Good, although I missed my usual 😂
Spring 2019 they had garlic fries which I had to try, although I should have requested no salt on them because of the sauce. Their regular fries are good w/ salt 🍟
A friend from another campus met me here for lunch, she enjoyed the Original Habit back when she was at UC Santa Barbara!
She let me in on a secret menu item - grilled cheese! On my next visit I tried it w/ added avo & tomato 🍅 and of course it's perfect w/ a side of fries or tempura green beans.
Their vanilla malt is soo delicious, I recommend it for a tasty treat! 🍦 I've tried it twice, but unfortunately the dairy digest I take for my lactose intolerance was not enough to prevent my stomach from getting upset.
Their Tropical Tea perfectly satisfies my iced tea addiction, but I always brought Stevia packets in my purse to sweeten it.

I am unsure if they are still offered as I never saw them off-campus 🤔

My favorite place to hang out in between classes. Great environment, great food, great service.

Ordered my food and waited around 42 whole minutes! After that i went up there and asked if they had my order ready, and it turns out that my order was there the entire time. The pager never rang, and the employee there said that someone didn’t connect it right or the order didnt have the correct something honestly I couldn’t hear him. My milkshake was hot and my burger was cold so that was nice and because I had class soon after that I didn’t have enough time to get a refund. I know yall can do better

It's a chain burger place, it's exactly what you would expect and not much more. They do have impossible meat patties which are for this place better than the real deal! The atmosphere is pretty good, and they have microwaves if you bring your own food which is good. Seating can be limited.

Vegetarian options: Excellent impossible meat patties.

Parking: It's on campus so you need an expensive campus parking pass. Better use a bike or walk.

waited an hour for a soggy burger and fries. Server had an attitude when I asked why it took so long. Worst Habit I've been to.
