The Hideaway Cafe & Lounge

Really cool spot across from the Mission Inn. I came for a Masquerade Ball hosted by the IE Goths and enjoyed myself very much! All the staff I interacted with were all super nice and accommodating for the special event everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

My only gripe (and it's not going to affect my rating, because I find this to be the norm in most drinking establishments)
I don't drink, and they didn't have any interesting mocktails to choose from. So I ended up with a red bull for $7 ? There's more people who don't drink these days and having something yummy to sip on and feel kinda "normal" is always really nice to see when I'm at a bar. Maybe they will expand their menu in the future. ?

Enjoyable atmosphere and the staff is friendly. However, the alcohol is definitely cut with water. My boyfriend got 2 cups of pure vodka - worth 4 shots each - and didn't feel a thing. My AMF had very little flavor.

Always have fun coming here. Just be prepared to sweat like crazy because though it may feel semi fresh when you arrive, it will get hot! Like sweating alot kind of hot. They have really good events though!

Parking: Free street parking after a certain time.

This place sucks I went to go see the doors cover band and they showed up until 12 they played crappy music the hole time I was there I hate this place I asked for a refund because I found out the band double booked but they said no even thought I was there for 4 hrs honestly I was really disappointed I can’t believe I choose this place to celebrate my bday they totally ruined it for reals

Great place I can say. Have not been there in like 4 years until a few weeks ago. They have amazing bands that play there. I would like to see more seating areas.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's nice to know they have it easy for people in wheelchairs. I think it's very important

Food during lunch hour is good, atmosphere is neat, cocktail drinks at night aren't recommended: selections was limited, and what they did have available was watered down.

They don't sell food at night, but lots of gigs fun happen at this place. It can be loud though since it's underground, I'd advise bringing ear plugs!

Went on a Saturday night, walked up to show my ID and white dude with mustache, stares at me up and down and rudely asks if I’m there to cause trouble. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable. I asked the security guard downstairs if he can give me the guys name and he rudely said “no, you don’t need to know his name” I then asked for his and he said “my name is security, that’s all you need to know” . Listen, I understand if you hate your job, but don’t take it out on your customers that are helping keep this place open. Will not be coming back.

Ppl bumping into you and hitting your table with their backs. Only a very few tables. Only 1 bathroom with 1 stall I was told by some women waiting in a huge line.thats a no. They had Good, loud music.I had rum and pineapple but they were weak to be honest. What can you expect for a $7 drink. Too much ice and too little rum, so I sipped in them. The female bartender wasn't friendly so that's also a no. We didn't try the food. They have pool tables. And they have a cool bar area you can sit at. We didn't see a patio to go smoke at. All in all, the establishment is nice to hang at, but 1 bathroom for what, 80 women won't do. And unfriendly employees.. I wouldnt pick this place a second time to go back too.

Manager Dan is a worthless lying S O B no customer service skills

Never been. My wife & I do business W/the jewelery business located inside the antique store. Both located near the, "The Hideway Cafe."

The aesthetic inside was neat but the drinks were awful. Maybe I went on a bad night but it was completely empty inside. 7 people there in total. Not worth going back.
