First time going to the Mission in Riverside. Have heard so much about it. The atmosphere was great along with the service, no complaints there. The food is another story. We were a party of five and we all ordered different food. I ordered a queso fundido to start with and it was cold, the cheese was hard. My main plate was carne asada well done and it was charred. The enchilada sauce tasted like spicy spaghetti sauce. The fish tacos had an odd smell to them. I was not satisfied with the food
A MAZING!!!!
Awesome dining experience with friends 🧡
Came to get some lunch while staying at the Mission Inn for a few days. The food was delicious, the outside dining was perfect, and our waiter Ivan was fantastic. Spend the money to get the table side guacamole. Also, get the dessert . Will definitely come back if in the area.
I went for lunch with family for a special occasion and we all ordered the same salad. About halfway into eating it we realized they forgot the avocado and corn which were key ingredients. They only removed one salad from the bill and our ice teas. These were $28 mediocre salads and was a big disappointment. I asked if they would discount the other salads since half the ingredients were missing and they said no.
There was plenty of seats to choose from. The food was delicious! There was a hot salsa that we asked for and boy it was spicy! But it was good. There drink was pricey and too strong but it's ok we ate good.
The food quality has severely declined in the last few years. The fajitas tasted burnt and the rice and beans were lukewarm at best. No cheese on the beans. Chips were visibly greasy. Service was very slow. Waitress took our order then didn't come back until we were well into eating our meal. They were not busy, only 4 tables with small numbers of patrons for an early dinner. Drink orders took 10 minutes. Food took 30 minutes to arrive. This had been a favorite restaurant over the years whenever visiting Riverside, CA. However, this is the second (and worst) experience I have had (first being in Feb. 2025). I will not be returning in the future.
A friend and I had a great lunch and nice atmosphere friendly host friendly waitress all in all 10 out of 10.
Food and ambience were great but the whole place seemed under staffed.
Outstanding hostess and greeter/ seater. Joely is amazing and I didn't catch the lady in the presidents lounge but awesome

ALWAYS enjoy this wonderful spot at the Mission Inn ... atmosphere is lovely (& outdoors) and the food is dependably GOOD!
Unfortunately, the front staff were not friendly and the food was okay. We went for our anniversary expecting a similar experience to the Mission Inn but we left disappointed.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Las Campanas today. Weather was beautiful. The ambience is beautiful, food and drinks spot on, and Ivan, our server was absolutely the best!
The food was good as usual but we sat for 2 hours and15 minutes waiting well over 10 minutes multiple times for chips, water refills, drink refills etc. We had a reservation and a party of 8 got there and sat 30 minutes after us and was done 45 minutes before us. We paid $23 for table side guacamole that wasn't table side and then had to wait 15 minutes for chips to be refilled so we had guacamole and no chips. Awful service and they weren't short staffed. Other tables were getting served. Party of 8 so I was nice and paid the exorbitant tip but that's the downside to the automatic tip... the waiter was well paid for very bad service. It will be awhile before I eat there again.
Great ambiance in the Historic Mission Inn...great family experience or romantic dinner...it's all great! Great service and very good food.
