I’ve been going to the Sub Station since 1981!…they’ve been since 1972, that’s 53 years!!!…Richard Munio, the owner, is still “hands on” working with his crew on a daily basis!…Definitely the best sandwich shop in the Riverside / Canyon Crest area….Great sandwiches, Great prices and Great service.

Placed an order online. Yes, it was relatively close to closing, but when I showed up, they said they never received an order BUT, here's the kicker; they gave me a refund immediately after they told me they didn't receive an order (from the OLO). I'm not from the area, and only because I was nearby, I decided to stop by. I am now reminded as to why I stopped going when I lived here. Save your time and money.

I've been going to the Sub Station since my collage days 50 years ago, and I still go out of my way to stop by for a sandwich whenever I get the chance. Their Hot Pastrami is the best ever! There is nothing like a sipping a cold beer while waiting for and enjoying your sandwich. And, I've been there so often over the years for take-out, I have their phone number memorized...the sandwiches are that good!

The staff and the owner of this restaurant are the best. Each time I go there, I am greated with respect and enthusiasm. And I forgot to mention, THEY SERVE THE BEST SANDWICH IS TOWN!!! Today I decided to go there in celebratation of my birthday and casually mentioned this to them. They did not let me pay for my order! And when I got back home and opened the sandwich, I saw the cutest note inside. Thank you for making my day. You guys are special 🥰

Although the food was good. I'm disappointed that the young man taking our order didn't pay attention to the detail! We ordered it was $114 and I was like WTH when I got my order I said just as I thought he didn't take off the first 2 sandwiches when I said scratch that well take 3 specials. They didn't even offer us our money back the girl acted like she didn't give a shit! I will NEVER go back there again. It was a rip off. For 16.60 I can go to Subway and get more meat and all the veggies on my sandwich.

My dad has been coming here since the 1980s, brought my mom here while they were dating, married, and then brought us kids throughout the years. Now I bring my husband and kids here! The Big Dude is delicious and they always have great chip options and small dessert add ons. It’s the BEST!!
