BEWARE!!!!!! YOU WILL BE ROBBED HERE AT THE RESTAURANT BY THE STAFF !!!! My family and I went to eat here and when it came time to pay we gave 140 in cash and put the rest on our card!!! The server stole the 140 and charged the whole 220 on our card !!!! I have called and called and tried to get this sorted but nothing has been resolved. We haven't received a refund and someone signed our receipt !!! I have a total of 5 witnesses !!!!!! IT SEEMS LIKE ALL THE MANAGERS COVER FOR WHOEVER STOLE OUR MONEY!!!! DO NOT GO HERE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I had a free evening so I booked dinner at the mission Inn. It is a beautiful place with so much history and wonderful architecture. I sat outside which was getting chilly but the outdoor patio heaters made it comfortable. The menu was varied in choices and I think there was something for everyone, The crab cake was delicious. It was beautifully presented and had plenty of crab. The halibut was a pleasure to look at and the flavor was great. I do think it was a little over cooked on the bottom but I did enjoy it. I was unable to try dessert but the coffee was plentiful. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

We came today for the Sunday brunch by making reservations 6 weeks ago! Let me start with the GREAT: Yohannes, our server, was fantastic!! Always checking in to see if we needed anything, always there for coffee, champagne and water refills too. He is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fantastic!! We ate on the patio next to the fountain and it was a really pleasant getaway from the whole Covid-19 crap. The restaurant was following all covid protocols. The negative: We eat here several times a year and this is the first time the food was a big let down. The brunch menu selection was great, but the cooking not so much. Everything was way overcooked, the teriyaki salmon and the fried chicken were super super overcooked and dry. Even the belgian waffle and the dessert french toast were very dry and overcooked. We won't let one bad food. experience (but great service) prevent us from coming back again soon.

I made a reservation for my birthday lunch at 1:00 PM, and when we arrived, my husband and I were told our reservation was for 1:15 PM. We were not greeted in a friendly manner. We felt like unwelcome guests. In fact, the person who seated us couldn't care less about us. I think that he wished we would go away. We got seated 15 minutes later than expected. We got glasses of water right away, but our waiter didn't come over to our table to take our orders until 12 minutes after we were seated. At that point, we should have gone somewhere else. Our food didn't arrive until 30 minutes later. My husband's "meat Loaf and mashed potatoes" were ice cold. My "grilled chicken sandwich and French fries" were warm but nothing special. I could have easily got the same thing at a drive-thru. I've been coming here since I was a teenager, and I've never experienced such bad service. You only have one birthday a year, and this one was ruined. I'm so disappointed that I chose this place to celebrate. When I talked to my sister about her latest experience here a few months ago, she said that she felt unwelcome too.

We decided to do Valentines at the Mission Inn and had dinner here and I’m glad we did. The food selection was great and the service was really amazing. The prices are a little high but that’s expected here because of the location.

My friend and I had lunch today at The Mission Inn Restaurant. The hostess and the server were very pleasant and accommodating. The soft tacos I ordered were not flavorful and quite disappointing. However, my friend loved her Asian salad. I think the most disappointing part of the lunch was that the table cloths were not replaced after every customer. We are in the midst of a pandemic and reusing a cloth table cloth from a previous customer is irresponsible. It appeared all other precautions are being taken - why wouldn’t you make sure they took the same precautions with the table?

We dined here in early October and tried their outstanding prix fixe brunch menu!. A very reasonable value at $59 per person for a lavish Sunday Brunch (11am to 3pm) including two glasses of champagne, appetizer, entrée, coffee and dessert. Service was top notch, thanks to our waiter Yohannes. Champagne and coffee were great. We had the shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon avacado toast for appetizers, followed by salmon and filet mignon Fajitas, closing with the cream brûlée and strawberry crepes as our dessert. My original order of the fruit tart was out but they made me an off-menu cream brûlée as a nice replacement. We were not so sure about outdoor dining as our reservation was at 1:30 pm on a hot day , but it turned out to be a cool, shady, nice, comfortable experience despite the 95 degree weather. Sitting near the door to the air-conditioned dining room helped as well. In addition, we always love to dine here for its romantic ambiance and architecture that can’t be found anywhere else. We always come here for significant occasions or bring our clients here. Although no more true buffet Sunday brunches are available due to Covid, we still genuinely enjoyed the prix fixe menu and reasonable price and want to come back soon. Highly recommended.

Outdoor dining only! Well, the government imposed restrictions demand nothing indoors, but it’s California and November so still 85F, al fresco is fine. Great service, but shortened menu, and the famous buffet is a no-go (will buffets ever come back?). Nonetheless we had an excellent luncheon, with everyone praising their choice. Mine was Mission Inn steak frîtes ... gorgeous!

Since when do they charge $160.00 to make a dinner reservation? We made reservations for 8 of us at 5:00 on a Tuesday was told we would be charged $160.00 if we did not show up. Well we all showed up and still they charged $160.00 don't understand this at all. Food was okay are servicer was great.

We were on our way to find Italian food but instead decided to have dinner at the Sushi Bar at the Mission Inn. What a delightful, delicious surprise! Chef Chuck and our server, Christine, made our dinner a 5-star dining experience. The sushimi was of the highest quality; the Orange Blossom roll, the eel, and spicy garlic edamame appetizer were all amazing! And the service was great! Thank you, Chef Chuck and Christine for a memorable gastronomical evening! We will be back soon.

We were staying at the Inn and I went down to make a reservation at 4PM, was told first avalible would be 6:45, when we arrived they sat us in the noisey Shusi Bar area, we could see there was empty tables in the patio. I should have refused the table but did not know I had to beg for a nice table, the arm of my chair was broken and the whole area was very noisey. Our server was excellant and took good care of our dinner needs. The menu selection is a bit limited but the "special" of the night was excellant. We will stay at the Inn again but I will not eat in the Mission Inn Resturant again, there are plenty of places within walking distance to get a good quiet meal. If I want to go to a noisey Shusi Bar bar to eat I will go to one not to a high end resturant for a noisey meal in a lousey bar area. Very dissapionted in dinner at Mission Inn Resturant.

My husband and I came here for a date after our friends had a great experience here and we loved it as well! The sushi was beautiful and delicious. The sushi plates have very generous portions and we left feeling full. Cozy atmosphere and our waiter was kind and very prompt!

We dined here on Valentine's night. We were so disappointed in the quality of the food. The rib eye steak was not tasty at all--all fat. The fired chicken left a lot to be desired. The primavera pasta with shrimp was the best of the 3 meals, but even that was too creamy. What is awesome about this venue, is the outdoor seating. It was absolutely breathtaking.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day here with a beautiful champagne brunch. Our server was wonderful, as was all of the food and the ambiance! It was truly lovely!

We expected a breakfast buffet but I think since it was Sunday and before their Sunday Brunch service, they only offered menu options. That being said, we were very pleased with the food, service and ambiance. It’s not cheap, but worth the visit.
