Beyond delicious. We had tamale plates in the restaurant. Over the top good. Magic beans. Gorgeous rice. Green sauce is the best. Chips crispy. The freshest guacamole. Spinach pineapple agua fresca was so refreshing. The room is spotless and comfortable. The people are so so nice. This is a delight whenever we come through Riverside.

Cool and modern Mexican grabs. Tamales are awesome! The sweet tamales can be eaten as dessert. The carne asado, juicy and delicious if you like a true roasted pork taste. The staff are all pleasant and friendly out to serve your needs. They also have this Mexican sparkling water that quenches your thirst in a hot summer day! Strange enough, I was reading other customer's reviews, the low ones still say the food and service were good. So why the low rating? To attract attention? ?‍♀️

I ordered with the girl at the counter and I felt very rushed I gave her my order and I was never asked if it was for here or to go. When I get to the register I tell the girl oh my food was to go I need to get back to work and the girl said oh she didn’t ask you if you wanted it to go and I said no she didn’t. I get charged for my food which doesn’t match the prices online and the girl says have a good day and I said oh is the burrito coming and the girl goes oh I wasn’t told you had a burrito and I said yes I even choose the beans and was asked if I wanted cheese. The girl says ok I’ll get your burrito but I didn’t charge you for it so I pay for the burrito and go back to work and ate my cold tasteless beans and in my tamale I had this long piece of vein that was in my meat. First time visiting here and it’s my last

I ordered a rajas con queso tamale. It was disgusting. It had 1tiny strip of a pepper and sprinkle of cheese. It was all masa and corn.

This place is a huge rip off. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a dozen and a half of pork tamales and my total was $98 (doesn’t even add up to the total that’s advertised on the website). Not to mention the tamales were 80% masa with very little pork in them at all. 10/10 would never recommend anybody to this place and it’s a surprise they have been in business over 30 years.

Really good Mexican food, pretty authentic. Tamales are amazing. Restaurant it's beautiful. Knocking off a star because it's just a bit too expensive.

They used to be pretty decent. The last few years, service has declined dramatically. Around the holidays, they rarely have orders prepared properly. Do not order your Christmas tamales from here.

This place is better than the mission inn. I went to the mission inn and got a chili relano that was cold in the middle lol so they don't make them fresh. No biggie I used to be a chef, there's nothing wrong with cold storing Certain foods as long as the ingredients are quality. That being said it is an extreme f-up if you remind your customer of that by not cooking the food properly. The tamale factory has the best quality ingredients, an original taste, great breakfast and the best pastry-turnovers you will ever have. This place has somewhat unreachable hours so u may find yourself getting breakfast here more often than not, I still have yet to try the tamales because I'm always getting breakfast or pastry here.Crazy how they beat the mission inn as well as having an unbeatable apple turnover that the nearby bakerys should be sweating about.

I was recommended this place but it's definitely overpriced and food is very salty. Doesn't really taste authentic. Maybe I'll give it a second try but pozole was definitely salty.

I absolutely love coming to the tamale factory whenever I find myself in downtown Riverside early in the day. Parking: you have to be ambitious to find parking around DTR. Last time I came, it took over 20 minutes. There's very limited space close to the restaurant and they are all sought after. Selection: while I mainly come for tamales, there's a bunch of other amazing dishes like the Menudo. I love the cocktails they make from their aguas frescas! This time around I got pork tamales, my only complaint is more meat to mass ratio! Other than that the sauce is amazing and they dress the tamales up so nice with extra toppings!

The food here is fabulous. The drinks are so tasty too. You will absolutely love this place. The service is great. The guy that works there is so nice and helpful. The cook is great. The ambience is small and cozy romantic. Try this place you won't be disappointed.

Yummy food and nice clean atmosphere with some views of old downtown shops. My kids really enjoyed the carne asada tacos

I've been wanting come here for the longest time! Their hours never matched my schedule so it has been difficult to get here. I ordered a cheese tamale with beans and rice, but my voice must be too soft because I was given a vegetarian tamale a la carte! No worries though. It's delicious!

I thought the tamales were just okay. They had three options: pork, chicken, and a vegetarian one. I got the plate with two tamales (pork & chicken), rice and beans. After tax it came out to about $20 which is pretty pricey in my opinion. The tamales didn't have that much meat and were mostly masa. I did like that you can add salsa, crema, cilantro and onions on top. It definitely made everything taste better. I'd say there are much better places in the area to get tamales.
