10/10 experience. The service was good; actually better than anticipated. I ordered the burrito, and it was MASSIVE! It took me all day to finish. I started eating it that morning and finished it on the second part of my trip back to NJ.

Amazing vegan asado burrito, which was big enough for two to share. The “meat” was delicious with a mysterious extra taste to it, which I found out was a splash of orange juice. Fantastic lunch. Friendly staff and owner.

We arrived about 10 minutes before closing and Onyx stayed open late for us ordering a lot of food for 4 very hungry people. He was patient while we figured out what we wanted and quickly went to make massive amount of food. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

Everything was delicious! I was especially excited to see organic ingredients in their house baked banana bread and Sunday pancakes (will have to return for them).

I only wish I lived closer!

Their spot is in downtown Riverside inside a paid parking lot M-F but free on weekends. They’re located near the Mission Inn.

Their portions are filling and the street tacos are well put together with lime & salsa on the side. I tried their tacos with asada which had a good firm texture - meaning that they weren’t falling apart on my hands after I put lime and salsa on them.

I also tried that taco salad which was on a small bed of romaine and spinach but the beans and soy meats were plenty and filling. They top it with some sour cream and guac on the side.

Most people eat in their cars or take it to go because it’s a food truck but they have a couple of park style benches for people to sit there.

Great Mexican vegan food to enjoy anytime. Eat more plants. 🌱

As a 10+ year vegan it's hard to find restaurants with delicious food. At some point you get good at making your own things and going out is disappointing. However, vatos is one of those places we choose to spend our $ on because its tastes can't be replicated at home.
Their vegan proteins are so well done. Love their carne asada and al pastor the most. Their salsa is worth the extra $$ as well. The burritos are too big for me to eat but my husband goes to town! The food is ready in a reasonable amount of time.

Go save a tree/animal and eat there, you won't be disappointed. I rate this place way higher than Chicana Vegana in Fullerton.

I got the Super Fries with asada. The diced onions had been frozen, the asada was black and burnt, the fries were hard and overcooked, and the guac tasted sour and fake. I could not finish it because it just tasted burnt.
It was disappointing. I had visited this truck about 5 months ago and ordered tacos and they were good!
Also, my partner tried to pay in cash, which is encouraged by the signs on the window. They said they didn’t have ones so they couldn’t give change.

Favorite vegan spot in the area!! Such a good wide range of yummy options to enjoy on the menu and great weekly/daily specials. Can only say good things about the quality of food love that goes into it and the awesome staff!! Definitely recommend this spot to anyone reading this 🫶

Fantastic!
I got the asada tacos with avocado salsa, they were amazing. I took some to my coworkers and they could not even tell it was vegan.
10/10 would recommend!
Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!!
