After many visits, the food is still very good. The restaurant is always busy and parking a little tricky, and service can sometimes be slow. All this said, the food is usually worth it.

I have been coming and eating here at Zacatecas for almost a year and I may say that besides the food being amazing at all starts from the front door when you walk in the personnel meeting and greeting or elite amazing and it also goes to Liz in the management leadership position who has her team Very well coordinated. Everyone shows so much love, care, and compassion about their food and most importantly to their customers. I will forever recommend customers to this place thank you Liz ,thank you Stephanie thank you Magali. Thank you Vicki, thank everyone.

The food was great, I had a carnitas taco that was big enough to be two, and a potato taco. The flavor in both were great. I loved that the potato taco was the mashed potato as I have found some places have chopped potatoes. The seasoning used was excellent. The service was good and quick.
Now onto the reasons they weren't 5 stars:
The salsa they serve at the table was eh. I have had way better. The spice was good, but lacked in substance and flavor. The Pina agua Fresca was from concentrate and not fresh. It tasted like koolade, wasn't happy with it.
Overall I would go again for the food alone, maybe try a michelada to see how they do those...

We've eaten here many times and in the past service and food has been good. On a recent visit, we had a horrible experience regarding the service. When we arrived there was one couple other ahead of us and plenty of open tables. They told us to wait which we figured was just then managing food prep times etc. After about 15 minutes is waiting, a third couple arrives and the hostess obviously knows them and seats them immediately. The hostess didn't even show us the courtesy or respect to at least acknowledge this apologize. She could have easily told them to wait just a minute while she seated us and the couple ahead of us. Total lack of respect.
Once seated our food took over 40 minutes after we ordered and we were charged $4 for extra sauce that came with our dishes. For $4 we got two small condiment cups like you see at in-n-out for ketchup. Total ridiculous. We will not be returning and I would NOT recommend this restaurant anymore as I have in the past.

Good food, definitely better than most Mexican restaurants. The free chips and salsa was bad though, they taste like a half and half mixture of canned mole and enchilada sauce la Victoria brand warmed up. Pushing that salsa aside i felt the pork burrito was good and my fiance's tacos were also good. Really old school vibe, i can tell they get down with the rest of the menu but that salsa has
got to go.
