How is it I’ve not reviewed Sam’s before I do not know but I am here today to share with you my favorite Mediterranean food in town.
I have been coming to Sam’s Mediterranean Deli for 15 years and every encounter has been a 5+ star experience.
First of all it’s about Sam the owner. To know Sam is to love Sam. He is the epitome of service & friendliness and once you’ve come by he’ll always remember you.
The food- every item I’ve ever ordered is fresh and sensationally scrumptious. The flavors are a perfect balance of savory & spice. His hummus is hands down the creamiest and most flavorful I’ve had. The baklava is to die for with the multiple crispy layers and delicious honey.
I do not think one can go wrong with anything ordered here. My only tip is to try and order ahead as this deli can be very busy.
Do yourself a favor- next time you are craving extraordinary & authentic Mediterranean food- Sam’s is the place to be!
Not only is food outrageously good, but Sam is also an outrageously good man. Thank you for making delicious food and making us feel like family when we come in there.
My wife and I had the falafel sandwich and shawarma wrap. Delicious.
Awesome little hidden gem find. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious - very fresh and exactly what we wanted. I got the gyro and my wife got the falafel wrap. Both were extremely good
We love Sam and his food! We wanted a delicious Mediterranean feast for one of the dinners of our wedding weekend, so we tried a lot of the Mediterranean places in Sonoma County looking for the right fit. When we walked in to Sam's, we had a hunch it was going to be perfect; once he graciously served up some of his food, we knew our search was over!! The planning process was easy (and delicious) and Sam was flexible, creative, and went above and beyond in making sure our food would be top notch. He made a fantastic meal for over 100 people, accommodating allergies, vegans, vegs, and all at an affordable price. Multiple guests asked who had catered, to make a note for themselves.
We look forward to coming back for many more meals ourselves, and are looking for excuses to throw a big party and have him cater again. Thank you Sam!!!
Great falafel wrap, mjadara, and dolmas! Boutros
Samer's and Rula's food is so delicious that we refer them to the many belly dance festivals in the area. We especially enjoy their mezza plate with the Beef and Lamb shawarma roll ups. Their baklava is exceptional - not to sweet and doesn't fall apart when eaten. (This from someone who bakes sushi style baklava rolls so they don't fall apart when eaten.) Samer and Rula are like family you've known for years. In fact, this week Samer referred a new belly dance student to my dance school in Los Gatos, CA. Who does that but true friends in the community of dance. We are fans of Samer and Rula's food that we are making a special stop there in August following the Middle East Music and Dance Camp, at the Mendocino Woodlands (August 3 - 8, 2024) - to share their wonderful quality food with the Texas band of Badrawn Ensemble musicians who are traveling with us.
What a hidden jewel!!! I was having a party and in need of Greek appetizers. I searched the internet and found this place. The location was a little tricky, but glad I found it!
Sam the owner, treated me to several tastes of his locally made cuisine. Absolutely the BEST hummus and dolmas I have ever tasted! They offer dining in, take out and catering. I’m headed back for his chicken shawarma ?
We discovered a gem of deliciousness and hospitality. The owner is friendly and helpful. Once you find this deli, you will want to return. We know we will!
Sam is a welcoming guy, the small location should not deter anyone from dining from this fine establishment. Although it is small, and the food is a little pricey, the food packs a good amount of love in it that is sure to keep anyone coming back for more. Go for the falafel wrap with extra hummus ?

What a great place! It is off the beat and path but worth it. Sam is a wonderful guy and the lamb and beef gyro was simply amazing! I can’t wait to try some other things there.
I’m not a fan of Shawarma but on this menu, they had steak Shawarma. I ordered it. Sam put all his flavors into it. And I’m telling you this was one of the best Shawarma I’ve ever had. The cheese compliments the meat with the garlic sauce, deliciously combined. I loved every bit of it. And the best thing is he had it cut into perfect handheld sizes. Definitely coming back for more.
This is not your typical Shawarma with the basic flavors. This is way more flavorful.
This place is located in a business park. Their food is decent. Last time I visited Sam’s Mediterranean deli was about three months ago.
Sam was so friendly and accommodating! We showed up a little before opening time just to take a look because we had never been there before and Sam invited us in to order some meals when he technically wasn’t even open yet.The food was delicious and we couldn’t believe that Sam had been operating the location for so long and we had never heard of it before. So happy that we found this place! My wife and I ordered the Lamb & Beef Gyro Wrap and the Falafel Shawarma. Both meals were perfection!
Sam is doing the community a favor by existing. The food is SO GOOD. A little expensive maybe but definitely worth it. You absolutely get what you pay for
