I wanted to order local whiskey as birthday present. I was excited to learn about this place. Unfortunately, you can only order online. I ordered online including the 20$ shipping fee. UPS lost the package. I've reached out to company and the distributor and nothing. I'm out $70? Disappointing and frustrating. I won't ever buy anything from them again.

I ordered $130 of whiskey from this place on 6/16, it is almost one month later and have not seen or heard anything about it and the FedEx tracking says that it cannot help me. I thought this product was coming locally but it seems to be coming from San Diego, that’s if I ever see it? I wish I could have just picked it up from the store and this wouldn’t have been an issue! Over one month and I haven’t heard a single thing. Unacceptable and very poor customer service.UPDATE: I’ve been told someone is looking into this, see comment below but I’m yet to hear anything back. I just want my whiskey! The FedEx order says “label made” and has been that way for 28 days now! Not happy!

I am really disappointed with this company because the CEO, Adam, keeps screwing over the loyal whisky club members. He did this several years ago and now he is doing it again.I was one of the first members of the whiskey club when it first started. It was really enjoyable because we could go in at any time and have free tastings. I introduced several of my friends to their whisky via these tastings. The club offered different levels of discounts depending upon how many bottles your membership supported (10% for 1-bottle club, 20% for 2-bottle club, and 30% for 3-bottle club). As a club member I could purchase extra bottles at any time at my club discount and also get a discount on the other merchandise that they sold. In the beginning, the club offered events for the club members around the time that the whiskey was ready for pickup (once per quarter). One such event included hors d'oeuvres and they had set up tables with mixings where each club member was taught how to make a couple of different mixed drinks with the whiskey. It was a very memorable event. In the club's beginning there were several events like this. But because they offered such a wonderful experience to the club members, the club grew exponentially within a very short period of time due to "word of mouth". Eventually, the club got too big so they made their first extremely bad decision to screw over the club; apparently they could not keep up with their distributor's orders so they cancelled the club completely to supply the distributor's orders!Years later, they started up the club again, but this time with less options, less discounts, and absolutely no in-person events; only virtual tasting events where you got to watch Adam tasting his whisky on Zoom. But, I joined the club again. The whisky offerings were pared down compared to the previous club offerings. Now Adam has closed down the club again, announcing that he is opening it up to become a national club, not just local. But there are no more discounts except for "special occasions" and I'm now forced to have my whiskey shipped; I can't pick it up locally any more. I hate having liquor shipped because they won't deliver it unless there is a live person there to receive it!Adam has proven that he has no business sense as he does not care about his loyal club members who helped to make his business grow.Quite frankly, I've given up with this company's whiskey. Since the first club cancellation, I've come to appreciate the Bulleit Rye Whiskey at Costco; it has just as good flavor and costs about 1/2 as much for four times the quantity ($38.99 for 1.75 liter bottle).

Quite honestly it doesn't matter how the whiskey tastes - if you're not buying it on site dont bother. The shipping agent they use (Thirstie) modifies your order without telling you, then doesn't offer to make it right when contacted, costing you money. Then they leave items that should ship out while still charging you. No whiskey is worth this hassle when you can get even ok whiskey by just walking into a store and paying.

Huge supporter and believer in this company. Big fan of the bourbon and cherrywood rye. I've seen Sonoma Distilling Company come up in the last several years and it's just the start. Anybody heading up or down 101 make a stop and check it out.

Came here with my boyfriends family. It was a rainy day and they had one staff member there. He was knowledgeable and I believe the owner. Such a neat spot. I hope they get more seating and add their own twist inside. However I dig the bachelor pad feel. Give them a try, their bottles and merchandise are very clean and unique. But there whiskey...now that's something to try there. It's quite amazing.

One of my favorite local bourbons.

Fun! They offer a great simple tour and tasting, only $20/person. It's very casual and great for groups. Our tour guide had a great sense of humor and was extremely knowledgeable. I'm not a fan of rye, but this had me questioning! We got there 25 minutes before our tour was set to start but they let us begin early anyway. Oh, and the little cocktail they give you before the tour begins is delicious!

I have not been to the distillery. This review is based solely on tasting the bourbon and two rye whiskeys. Great tastes. I think the cherrywood rye is the best, but they are all good. I'm a bourbon lover.

Absolute gem of an experience in Sonoma. Everything from the initial introduction though the end of the tasting was done very well with an extremely personal touch. We spent nearly 2 hours with our host who gave us a very detailed tour of the site, followed by an even more detailed tasting session.

My husband and I had a delightful, informative tour of the distillery and then tasted four of the whiskeys. Each was very good and we bought a bottle of each to take back to Nevada with us. We have been to other distilleries and always enjoy hearing the special differences that make the results stand out. This place is in the process of expanding and will be even more visitor-friendly when they are done.

On point! Legit!

Ran by this place when I was out visiting my daughter and there is nothing there. Must have closed.
