You have to be tech savvy to order something. The only people working there were in the back socializing. After 10 minutes I just left.

Don’t go in to order, they leave you standing there for a long time and the woman gave me my change in quarters because she was angry with me for not using the kiosk.. I was paying cash ??

They closed 40 minutes early and wouldn't let us into the lobby. They made eye contact with us and walked away. Terrible service

Just went through the Taco Bell drive thru. I spoke clearly and precise. I ordered chips and cheese and got home with no chips in the bag. Maria and Carlos told me to be kind because I explained the situation 3 times with no comprehension from them.
Looking at my receipt and the level of understanding was I wanted two sides of nacho cheese.
Wasted my time and energy and money but at the least I saved my health. Thank God for this revelation.

The Mexican guy who works at the drive-thru window doesn't even listen to the customers and at night the restaurant staff works after drinking beer

They completely ignored the people standing in front of the counter in favor of the drive thru. I had ordered food through the Taco Bell app but nobody was there to give me the food despite the app saying the order was ready for pick up. Must've been >15 minutes before somebody came front. It turns out that they didn't even make the order.

AVOID THIS LOCATION. Unless you are going to use the drive-through and don't mind getting about 1/3 less product than at other locations. If you are on foot, in addition to the consistently smaller portions, you are likely to: be required to use the kiosk even if the team member is standing right there at the register, wait a very long time for your order and be lied to multiple times about it's status, be told by the manager that the little nacho sauce cup is only supposed to be filled halfway, and if you ordered on the app, you'll need to check the label on each bag they put on the front rack because they don't call out names as they do it. These things all happened to me multiple times before I threw in the towel.
The manager runs this place like a little crime family, pinching pennies on food and labor costs wherever she can. Not enough people working the assembly line? She doesn't care and won't pitch in...she'll keep on laughing it up on the phone on a personal call.
Drive-throughs will get total priority, even if you have been standing there before those cars arrived, I guess so her average service time numbers stay low, while the lobby fills up with disgruntled customers. She must get a monthly bonus from corporate for that. It's a bummer, I consider Taco Bell to be the good guys but I will never patronize this location again. Unfortunately she has a captive audience with the university nearby.

There are two Taco Bells in my city, this one (across from SSU) and the one across from Home Depot by the freeway on the other side of town. The one by Home Depot is solid and professional, this review isn't about them. The one by SSU... Well, that's another thing, entirely.
This is a larger complaint than the service and is directed at Taco Bells owner company, PepsiCo...
Why did you:
A.) Eliminate larger cup sizes and then
B.) Jack up the price for a soda to the point where I feel like I'm at a damn theater when I pay?
You own this company as a ruse to sell us your drinks, correct? So why is a $3 soda comprised of five cents of syrup and water in a ten cent cup and you then expect us not to notice? Why aren't your soda's fifty cents? You'd sell more, I guarantee it.
Now, onto SSU Taco Bell. The people are friendly enough, when you can get them to address your existence... It seems to be a shift issue. Certain times of the day it's decent, then, as the evening comes on, it dips noticeably.
Rather than assume they work their people 24 hours a day and assume the dip in quality is due to their exhaustion, I have to assume it breaks down into three shifts: Morning, Afternoon and Evening.
Morning (5AM-12PM) Is solid and attentive. They quickly and in a friendly manner take your order and make it as requested. I've never had a meal order be poorly made or have the wrong items in my bag... I've never even been shorted here, which can happen.
Afternoon (11AM-7PM) Is a mixed bag. They deal with a lot of orders, but while they tend to not make big mistakes and are fairly friendly, they don't seem to notice that the Drive-Thru lane has three cars waiting for them to take orders. I don't know why that is, but it is...
Evening (6PM-2AM) Is understandably chaotic. Given the sheer volume of orders these guys produce, mistakes will happen (you get someone else's similar order or get the wrong soda... Normal stuff) but it never seems intentional. These are the errors of young people more focused on speed than competency, and it shows.
I've worked in food service as an adult not that long ago at a local restaurant that died after COVID... I don't miss that job. Food service is noisy, with constant banging, scraping, beeps, people yelling over each other while managing orders on a computer system older than your Manager.
I want to be clear, here... I have never gotten food poisoning from this Taco Bell, no one has ever yelled at me or anything along those lines. My issue is one of lowered standards that don't match the ever-escalating prices at a fast food franchise that was once so recognized for being affordable for the average young person that you could feed a car full of kids with $20.
Now, I pay $13 for two tacos. Don't get me wrong, I like them... But are they worth what I'm paying for them? Hell no, they're not.

Waited over an hour to get my food. Others came in and out and were served. Drive through was faster with the 10 cars in line. I asked for help 3 times and no one helped me. I finally got someone to answer me and they gave us kit drinks and continued to have us wait. I am not sure what the problem is but this is not a good restaurant to go to. It should not take an hour to get our food. I ordered from Kiosk because a human would not help me!!! The worse Taco Abel ever. Hungry kids and husband not kool!!

Food was good service was not. They kept telling me to use a card when all I had was cash and they ignored me multiple times and took about exactly 15 minutes and 35 seconds for them to help me. I put a timer on them. They need to worry about customer service instead of trying to make drive-thru orders and online orders

I'll level with you, this taco bell makes good food, but you don't always get what you order. It'll be well made, just a different item.
Tbh, it's a tacobell across from a college. That's high marks.
