The food was okay, but the service was zero out of five. If you come on weekends, you’d better have plenty of time. It took them nearly 30 minutes to serve the food, 10 minutes just to take our order, and then 20 more minutes to bring a glass of water. You’ll likely see a lot of people here, but it’s only because they’re so slow

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for dinner on March 29. About five minutes after we sat down, the server came to take our order. Just as we were about to start ordering, a Korean couple walked in and sat down. The server finished taking our order, and we waited for a long time, but our food still hadn’t arrived. That wasn’t even the most frustrating part—the most infuriating thing was that the Korean couple, who arrived later than us, received their food first.

I was both angry and confused. My boyfriend asked the server why the people who arrived after us got their food before us. The server said they would check, then came back and told us our food would be ready soon—without a single apology. Later, the man from that couple also received his meal, while we were still waiting. We had to wait even longer before our food finally arrived. And from start to finish, there was no explanation or apology whatsoever.

Also, I remember that when I ordered porridge before, it always came with a bowl of cold soup. I got it the last time I came, and I also received it when I ordered from the same restaurant in a different city. But this time, it wasn’t included.

So, to anyone who isn’t Korean and is considering eating here—if you don’t want to be treated like this, it’s better to go somewhere else. I won’t be coming back to this restaurant.

You’d better look Korean and speak Korean before coming to this restaurant. Otherwise, no matter how early you order, you’ll always be placed at the back of the line. Not recommended.

A good small business provides excellent service. The manager/owner always gives me side dishes when we finished. Prices are fair compared to others. We ordered porridge, Japchae, and beef bibimbap which were very good and freshly made. Recommend people come here for a cozy lunch or porridge.

Love the porridge, but the sides are no good. Would suggest to change the macaroni to spinach or sth. To me kimchi is below average too.

Still highly recommended for the porridge!

The waitress was a bit discriminatory against Chinese people. We arrived first, but she let others sit first. She poured water for every table but not for us.

I tried pumpkin juice for the first time, and it wasn’t overly sweet. It was packed with pumpkin, making it a very healthy juice.

The kimchi pancake was also light, crispy, and chewy, just like something homemade.

The ingredients were clean and fresh, making it a highly recommended well-being food!

The food here is absolutely delicious, and the drinks are amazing too! The restaurant is spotless, and the staff are incredibly friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This is definitely a place I’d love to visit again. I highly recommend trying the beef and mushroom porridge!

Honestly, this is one of the best bibimbaps I’ve had in a long while. You’ll definitely see me here again soon!

I think it would be better to give clean food.
What should I do if a famous chain restaurant gives me less side dishes? As if someone brought back an empty bowl.

Visited Bonjuk and Bibimbap in Rowland Heights today and tried their signature Beef Bibimbapand Abalone Porridge. The bibimbap was sizzling hot with crispy rice, tender beef, and fresh veggies—paired with kimchi, tofu, and miso soup, super satisfying. The abalone porridge was smooth, light, and comforting. Don’t miss their refreshing Pumpkin Juice and Mung Bean Juice. Great spot for a healthy, hearty meal!

The ingredients in every dish were incredibly fresh, making each bite truly enjoyable. The Abalone and Chicken Porridge was especially delightful—rich, flavorful, and so comforting. The Bibimbap was perfectly balanced, with each component adding to the overall deliciousness. I also tried their Red Bean and Green Bean drinks, which were refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic and high-quality Korean food!
