Stopped by a few times in recent weeks, ended up dry runs. Their hours have been unpredictable, time-change notice often too little too late or contradicting what’s posted on public forums. Part of their dining area has been turned into storage, likely their last chapter is unfolding, customer care is a second priority, understandably.
Very quiet for weekday breakfast. I paid 17 including tax for my meal, which is comparable to most dine in HK breakfast places. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come again, despite the free topping and sauce bar simply because I could get mixed vegetables in my macaroni soup at different dine in locations.

An underrated Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights. The restaurant is self-serve and not need to think about tips.

Authentic congee! Worth the trip. Double check if they serve you the correct congee base. We did get all the meat and seafood add-ons correctly. The lady helped us ordering was super nice!

Had a great experience here!
The self service to avoid tipping was great! And we still had excellent service from the kitchen staff despite them not getting tips.
The lady who served us our food was so welcoming and kind.
Plenty of parking in the lot (though it could get crowded).
Plenty of seating inside.
We ordered the milk tea as our free hot drink and it was so good!
We also ordered the fried chicken (perfectly crispy and good), the thousand year old congee (very tasty and goes well with the fried bread/yotel), and shrimp wonton (the egg noodles worked well and the shrimp was good).
I love that you can pick your side dishes (the salted peanuts were so good and the fried shallots) yourself at the back counter.
Overall, it was delicious food and a great experience!
Just a pretty bad joint overall I like it’s other locations this one. I absolutely have no good comments to say about it. Just go ahead and try yourself. Go try to feed and you will see.

High imitation Chen Kee, the taste is completely different
Delicious food, large portions! Order yourself at the front on the screen, select a pager, pay, select a table, and sit. Once your order is ready, pick up from the kitchen counter and help yourself to the condiments and utensils on the table to your left. When finished, put dishes and tray on the shelf set aside for dirty dishes, and you're done. No tipping. We had the shrimp wonton noodle soup, fried chicken, pork congee with thousand year eggs, and beef noodle soup. Super delicious.
Kid-friendliness: They have several TVs, each with its own show. One had a children's show on.

Restaurantji Recommends
I recently went to this new location for Chan Kee as I usually visit the Diamond Bar location . I walked in and was greeted with a warm smile and fast / efficient service . I was assisted by Miss Katie and she made my dining experience both memorable and such a pleasure . My go to is their beef stew porridge and Chinese doughnut although they have many dishes to offer . You’ve got a keeper , Miss Katie most definitely shows that she loves her job and the people she encounters every day. 10/10 would recommend and I will be back very soon ! (:

We ordered the shrimp wonton lo mein and the beef stew soup noodle.
The wonton lo mein is very disappointing. There is no seasoning or sauce in the lo mein , it's just plain noodle with wonton. The wonton itself is very good. The lo mein is supposed to have the Chinese broccoli in it, but we got A Choy instead, which does not go well with the lo mein.
The beef stew soup noodle is great. The soup is tasty and the beef is tender.
Parking: Located in a plaza with free parking lot

Introvert‘s ideal dining experience - order at kiosk and pick up at counter. Support your local business, my family enjoyed the porridge.

I came to La to hang out with my family and stopped by to eat. I think the taste is very suitable for our family. Both parents are very satisfied. The important thing is that the price is very affordable and their porridge and hot pot are also delicious. My mother said that I must eat here again before returning to China. I recommend it.
