A solid place for marinated platter and spicy dan dan noodles. They have a promotion going on right now for $7.99 for dan dan noodles. Their portions are good sized, and one order can easily feed one person. The biggest problem this place has is inconsistency. Sometimes it's pretty good, and sometimes it is just alright...A nice option if you're looking for marinated platter, not every place has it anymore.
This was our first visit to this restaurant, and it truly brought back memories of home. Coming from the same region, I've often missed authentic hometown flavors while living in the USA. While it's fairly easy to find great Sichuan or Hunan cuisine in LA, good Shanghai or Hangzhou dishes are much harder to come by. This place comes closest to capturing the essence of those flavors. I ordered braised beef noodles. The beef was a bit hard and cold inside, and the amount was small. The noodles were a bit soft and the lemon tea was very sour?
