Small, hole-in-the-wall place.Service is pretty fast considering there's only a couple people serving. This place's charbroiled meats are so good! Their vermicelli bowls and rice plates always hit the spot and the sides of egg and pork loaf and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu are tasty as well. You do not need the sweet fish sauce because everything is so flavorful by itself, but it's definitely a nice addition! However, I don't necessarily care for the soups here. Their pho broth is a little bland and imitation crab meat in the seafood soup someone in my party ordered was still cold in the middle.

This is our first time trying Golden Noodle & Grill in Rowland Heights. It's located inside of a plaza on Fairway & Colima that I seldom come to this plaza. It was a small but clean restaurant. Based on the business name, we can tell that it's not specialized in pho but they have a lot of varieties from Vietnamese beef noodle soup (pho), rice noodle soup (Hu Tieu), Egg noodle soup, chow fun, chow mein, fried rice, vietnamese bun (vermicelli), Vietnamese Com (rice dishes), Vietnamese porridge (Chao), to French Bread (Banh Mi). We ordered (#1) house special beef combo rice noodle soup (Pho Dac Biet), (#71) house special combo egg noodle soup and (#56) charboiled pork, meat ball and egg roll served with vermicelli (bun Thit Nam Cha Gio).My hubby was craving for pho but he was so disappointed that the pho broth was too bland. The beef color didn't seem right when they served it on the table. They looked overcooked. Also, it seemed like they didn't put enough beef broth so it was lack of flavor. My hubby never add hoisin sauce to pho but he had to add a lot of hoisin sauce to make stronger flavor. Pho noodles were okay and big portion. However, the beef were way over cooked and dry and for the pho dac biet should have given more different ingredients such as beef briskets, beef steak, and beef balls but they gave few pieces compare to the other Vietnamese cuisines. (2/5)House special comobo egg noodle soup was not bad. The broth was also light but the flavor was on point with imitation crab meat, barbeque pork (cha siu), cuttlefish, fish balls, etc. (3.5/5)I like my #56 charboiled pork, meat ball & egg roll with vermicelli (bun), the portion was big and the fish sauce was good with a bit sweet flavor. The pork meat were tender. (4/5) Price: pretty good for such a good portion. The price is like before pandemic and I'm so surprised! (4 stars for the price) If you check in on Yelp and you will get a free soda. I would give it 3-3.5 stars overall. The broth and meat quality are very important to us. However, I would recommend their bun and other dishes.

Saw this hidden gem while driving. Gave it a try and glad I did. I ordered the raw beef. Beef was the back up singer to the broth. The broth was nice and light with all the traditional flavors coming through. I added very little to the broth than I normally do, which says a lot. Everything on their menu looks delicious. If you're in the area and are craving Pho give this place a try.

Best bun (cold noodle salad) on this side of town! Their ingredients are always fresh and they're so generous withe the veggies and sauces. It's a hole in the wall at the corner of Colima and Brea Canyon Cutoff, very underrated, but definitely a gem! I always get the #42, bun with charbroiled pork and egg rolls. Their spring rolls, crispy noodles, and pho are excellent too! Highly recommend if you want some delicious noods! Service is good as well.

Pho-licious! I work in the area and decided to stop by for some Vietnamese food. Glad I did as this hidden gem had a lot to offer. It seemed like a small Mom and Pop shop upon entering, but did offer a lot of seating tables. Upon arriving, you are seated right away and provided with menus. Let me tell you, there is so much to choose from! I ordered the traditional Vietnamese go-tos - Goi Cuon (#E) as an appetizer and the House Special Beef Combo Rice Noodle Soup (#1). Although it was not the best Spring Roll or Pho I've had, it definitely hit the spot - it did not disappoint. Definitely will be a returning diner to try more dishes off their menu and will be recommending it to friends/co-workers.

4 stars. I ordered a beef combo pho and it was a good portion for a good price. The broth was a little bit light and bland when I visited but it was still comforting. For the price I paid, I felt that the 4 stars was justified. There could have been more toppings, but for the price you are paying, it was fair. The food came out pretty fast but after the food came out, it was the last time we saw the servers until the check. I don't typically crave pho, but this place is would suffice if I ever want pho. The interior was relatively clean and it was nice and quaint. For a Friday night there wasn't too many people, which was surprising to me since the quality of this place for the price is pretty good. Overall I'd recommend coming here if you crave some Vietnamese food without breaking the bank.
