My favorite place to get Korean food with the family, or to introduce friends who have not had authentic Korean food to great-tasting food! Gamja-tang is my go to dish.

We have gone here a couple of times for their bossam which is on top of our list amongst the other bossam places within 10 miles around the area but we recently tried their marinated crab and I'll tell you now, it is top notch!! I would actually say it is the best we have had so far compared to the famous ones around the LA area. The only difference is you have to call in advance to order their marinated crab, usually 2 weeks, I believe, after the beginning of the month, making it extra special. This is a family owned business that says a lot about the place how each food they serve is from the heart. Give it a try. You'll probably come back over and over like us. Oh, and their side dishes are to die for!

If you like Korean marinated raw crabs and you live east of Korean town like Rowland Heights, Diamond Bar, Walnut, or surrounding areas, then this is good news for you. This restaurant has very good quality soy sauce marinated raw crab so you don't have to travel to K-town to enjoy this dish. Personally, I think I had better experience (or luck) with this restaurant than the more well-known restaurants for the same dish in K-town. With this I mean bigger crabs with more roes, and better services. The soy sauce marinated raw crabs tasted fresher and had more roes than the ones I had before at other restaurants. Of course I ordered the female crabs from Korea. The sauce was not too salty nor very sweet, it was not overwhelming the sweet taste of the crabs. Please call in and reserve this dish in advance. It is limited in quantities. As for the spicy marinaded crabs, I got this dish as courtesy of the restaurant to try, I think it was made of male crabs. The sauce was spicy and sweet. It tasted very different from the soy sauce marinated ones but still tasted good. Personally I like soy sauce marinated raw crabs better.

Best cold noodles in SoCal in my opinion but they only serve it from May to October. They serve different soups all yea round though and they are equally delicious! Service is great and has a cozy feel.

I'm still dreaming about the meal I had here with my cousin. I had been wanting to try Korean marinated raw crab and we found this gem. Call ahead for the crabs because they have limited quantities. It's located within a random unassuming plaza (as most legit Asian food spots are) and a bit difficult to find - look out for the corner restaurant with a black banner on the outside. What we ordered:- #30. Soy Sauce Marinated Raw Crab (comes with 2)- #16. Soft Tofu Stew with Seafood + Galbi (BBQ Short Ribs)Entrees come with complimentary banchan (small side dishes). The fish cake dish was my fave and I asked for seconds. Everything we ordered was the perfect amount of food for us 2. Not too full, but deeply satisfied. The marinated raw crab is reminiscent of uni and if you're a fan of that texture/taste, then you'll love it! Definitely recommend this place and I can't wait to go back when I'm in the area again.

I'll be coming back to this spot any and every time I'm back in the area. Absolutely exceeded our expectations, and we came in at 5pm (right when they open) and it was empty, but every table was filled when we left!Wish we could've known to pre-order their Soy Garlic Marinated Crab, but will definitely pre-order before the next time we come! All of the dishes were so flavorful and fresh- we were originally looking for Cold Buckwheat Noodles and were glad to see they had all day lunch combos with bulgogi and galbi short ribs.

Ok. I didn’t expect much. I saw 4.4 stars and went to try with my coworkers. I might be leaving this comment because my expectation was low but their Gam Ja Tang was worth every penny. Bo Ssam was even better. I’m from NY and NJ area and wish this place was in my neighborhood. Definitely coming back here before I leave.

Loved the pork belly. The cilantro muchim was so good with the pork belly. The pork was meaty and tender, not overly fatty.Mul naengmyun was good but why does it not have any beef in it? Otherwise really excellent.Seafood pa-jun was crispy outside and very tasty.Galbitang was a tad bland. I would have liked the broth to be richer.Best banchan of any restaurant in the area.

My favorite spot in Rowland Heights for traditional Korean food! The place is run by a mother daughter duo who make great food and provide excellent service The vibe is family friendly but my friends and I love coming here to splurge! I get a to go meal from them at least once a week. Their meals are always packed up with lots of Ban Chan and whatever your order needs! So many great dishes to get here! I love the beef rib soup, mushroom tofu soup, pork belly wraps, COLD NOODLES WITH GALBI, and I recently tried their RAW SOY SAUCE MARINATED CRAB!!! (Reserve crab ahead of time for second week of the month- SUPPLY IS LIMITED) so fresh and yummy!! I love this place and I hope you do too! Give them a shot!

I came here this past Friday with my dad and brother. We were looking for something Korean and I found this spot on Yelp. It was a little restaurant that was minimally staffed. I believe there may have only been 3 employees at the most, 1 at the front and 2 in the back. Maybe even 2 only in total. Seeing the menu it was a fairly small assortment but all looked appealing. Some of the typical stuff like tofu soup and bulgogi but also their signature is gamjatang, one of my favorite soups. It is a somewhat spicy stew made with pork neck bones. We got the casserole version (gamja jeongol) in a large size which was just enough for 3 people who eat quite a bit. They gave four banchan (side dishes): kimchi, fish cake, some sort of crunchy white thing that looked noodle like that had a white sauce, and seaweed I think. All were decent. The stew itself was a beautiful mixture of stewed pork neck bones, mushrooms, whole stem perilla leaves, potatoes, and some more. The flavor was familiar and reminded me why it was my favorite soup with its homey feel. We did the common thing to mix in our rice to make fried rice at the end with the leftover stew. I saw they also sell marinated shrimp and crab as well, but apparently you have to pre order them on the second week of the month. I would love to come back to try those. overall it's a cute little restaurant with some quality homey food

Been coming here since years ago! The food here always give me comfort, especially during a cold or rainy day. I always order the pork bone soup gam jatang, which is the best to get here hands down! It comes in a hot sizzling bowl, with a bunch of meat and potatoes. I also ordered Makgeolli to go with it, and my first time trying spicy raw crab. It was delicious, flavorful, and not extremely spicy. They give so much crabs that we had to take some to go. The owner was very nice and told us that it'll last for 1-2 days in the fridge before it may go bad. It's a hidden gem, come here if you want good Korean food!
