some of the best rendang around!
#latepost:
My 2 BFFs and I went there last Saturday for a lunch date.
We ordered:
Ayam Kalasan (1/2 marinated chicken): Decent taste. Good portion. Tender and juicy, fall off the bone. It's pretty good but could be seasoned more.
Nasi Bungkus (rice with chicken, egg and some veggies cooked in coconut milk & various spices) : I didn't eat this, but my friend said it was pretty good. Mild and not spicy. Portion was big enough to be shared by 2 of them.
Kangkung Asap (water crescent veggy stir fried with shrimps and quail eggs): I don't like this veggy, but my friends loved it. They ordered this every time we went. Big portion as well.
Toge cah ikan asin (beansprout stir fry with salted fish): We all enjoyed this! Big portion. Barely any salted fish pieces in it.. only seen some tiny bits of them. Otherwise, it was yummy!
Ikan goreng sambel (whole fried tilapia with hot sauce): pretty good with decent size & taste. We enjoyed this plate of fish. Could be seasoned more.
Altogether, we spent about $120.00 ish.
This place was good for groups. There is plenty of free parking. They also sell good choices of Indonesian desserts & snacks. Service was okay. Well maintained & clean.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kid friendly menus

Ordered Nasi Campur with coconut soup, Nasi Ayam Komplit with sour soup, Nasi Goreng Combination, and Sate Kambing (lamb). The Nasi Campur has steamed rice, fried chicken, spicy beef, egg and chose the coconut soup. This was a delicious spread with a tender chicken and creamy soup. The spicy beef is not too spicy and it pulls apart with ease in its own mouthwatering sauce. The Nasi Ayam Komplit has marinated fried chicken on rice with the chosen sour soup. The chicken is well seasoned, the flavor has soaked in and pairs well with the sate sauce. The sour soup has a nice sourness to it that makes it pleasant and refreshing. The Nasi Goreng combination was a nice plate of fried rice with chicken, shrimp, and egg. It is a well-cooked plate of fragrant fried rice with fried shallots and scallions; this is a good amount to share. The Sate Kambing was a lamb satay with peanut sauce, this was very juicy and the lamb was delicious skewered here. Service was very quick and patient with our order.
Parking: Plaza has parking but can get busy during the meal rush hours.

Great food! We ordered Nasi Goreng Special and it comes with two chicken satay and egg, sop buntut, kwetiau goreng and ayam kalasan. Our caucasian american guest who rarely eat asian food love all the dishes. For my Indonesian Family, they agree that the food is authentic. Ko Giri and Ci Dessy "The founders" still continue to give excellent customer services. Will visit them again...

THE BEST INDONESIAN FOOD EVER!!!!
I absolutely love this restaurant and it's one of my favorites to date. I've dined here twice and my experiences have been nothing but positive.
The owner is super sweet/nice and even offered my friend and I homemade sauces to try such as their peanut sauce and their chili sauce - which were both BOMB.
I truly believe every dish is packed with flavor and I have NEVER not liked a dish from this restaurant.
I highly recommend the following:
* Pempek Telor (fried fish cake with egg) - my absolute FAVORITE dish and the sauce is so addicting!
* Nasi Goreng Special (2 fried rice with chicken satay skewers)
Everything is super delicious here and I highly recommend dining here if you love Asian food!

Small family owned restaurant serving Indonesian food. Reasonable prices and tasty food. Also a dried goods selection of imported foods.

4 pcs beef Rendang (3×3×1 in for the biggest meat) for $16-ish +tax, is absurdly high. (3x3x5 in container)
flavor is ok!

Food is mediocre at best & overpriced! I ordered Nasi Goreng Babat (beef tripe) which is a must have for any Indonesian restaurant. It was bland. The beef tripe was old beef tripe that was deep fried & very tough. Service was non existent. We had to get our water refilled ourselves. I've had bad Indonesian food before. This one is up there. Will never come back!

Love the Nasi Bunkus here!
(9/17/2023) First time experiencing Indonesian and it's good overall. A lot of Indonesians come here to eat in the restaurant. Service is good and owner would recommend Nasi Bungkus if it's the weekend. Nasi Bungkus is okay but rice is a little wet. Strongly Recommended Cha Kway Teaw and Randang here. Cha Kway Teaw is better than Chow Fun in most Cantonese restaurants. Randang is delicious and a perfect match with rice but it's kinda expensive in my opinion. Probably would come back here if I try another Indonesian restaurant in the future.

I brought my Singapore friend. The owner is very rude, not friendly as a restauranteur. We asked about the chili, he was so rude. Nasi bungkus was good at first, but 2nd time is ok. Sate ayam is not good (don't order sate ayam). Next time we order somewhere else.

I'll say it's an authentic Indonesian restaurant, except the rice of Nasi Goreng is too wet, everything else was on pointSoto Ayam served with coconut ? milk, not usually what we had in Indonesia, but it turned out to be a good mixSop Buntut was not that authentic, but the way they add in the beans and corn somehow works in an interesting way.I like their Mei Ayam and Cha Kwei Tiao, both very traditionally IndonesianStrongly recommend this place if you're searching for Indonesia taste when in Roland Heights.

Gado-gado is an Indonesian salad of raw, slightly boiled, blanched or steamed vegetables and hard-boiled eggs, boiled potato, fried tofu and tempeh, and lontong, served with a peanut sauce dressing.
Parking: Plenty of parking spots

Indonesian food. A dish that combines rice and various ingredients is called champuru. The champuru was delicious, as were the shrimp noodles and lamb skewers.
Best indo food outside of Indonesia ??
