Kee Wah Bakery, Rowland Heights

I had a delicious amazing Hong Kong pineapple bun with butter at Kee Wah Bakery. It was fresh out of the oven, warm, and incredibly delicious. The bun was perfectly golden with a crisp, sweet top and a soft, fluffy center. The slab of butter tucked inside added the perfect richness. It was brought me back to being in Asia!

The bakery also had a wide selection of other baked goods and treats that all looked equally tempting. I seriously wanted to buy everything! You can tell they put a lot of care into their baking - everything fresh as I could see them taking the trays out of the oven and wired for it to cool before putting it into plastic bags.

A group of older Asian ladies were working behind the counter, and they were so sweet and warm.

There were no other customers when I entered the store in the morning. The clerk was indifferent and had a very bad attitude. No matter how delicious the food is, I will never patronize it again!

This year’s mooncakes are really unpalatable. The double yolks look like two potatoes and are not crispy at all. The five kernels are also unpalatable.

Why would a bakery be closed on Saturdays? That’s got to be one of the busiest shopping days of the week. So strange. I wanted to buy some moon cakes for my family and I live super far away so won’t be coming back tomorrow.

Compared to the menu that illustrates all of the baked goods offered, the actual items were a lot smaller. Their croissant was nearly half the size of the ones at the bakeries that we usually go to for the same price. If you’re planning on stopping by, I recommend getting their freshly baked items in the glass window and not the prepackaged items. Their egg tarts and chicken pies looked really good and well-baked compared to everything else.

The interior is very small and cramped due to all of the boxes that they keep out in the open. The shop is located in a popular plaza so it can get crowded, but you should be able to find a spot with everyone going in and out at all times.

Just selling pastries, where did Auntie get the courage? Did Liang Jingru give it to me? Is your attitude so bad when answering the phone? I'm calling to ask you, but you don't have the cake I want. It saves me a trip in vain. Do you think I'm here to beg for food? Speaking in this tone? Do you think this is in China?

The tiger skin rolls are very good and the price is reasonable. The other cake rolls are just average, and the other dots are also above par. But I don’t know why the tiger skin rolls are not sold with Weee, so we often have to drive here from Irvine to buy them, which is very troublesome.

Excellent Bakery. There are items that are just so good that I can't get it from the other bakeries. So, this is my first stop over the other bakeries.

I ordered the mango cake in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon. The vanilla cake inside was a bit hard and it felt like it was not freshly made that day. I was very disappointed! It’s expensive and not delicious! A very bad experience!

The taste is not much different from that in Hong Kong
