After having some ok Beef Noodle Soup in Lomita, I had to come to No 1 Noodle House to do it justice. I ordered Beef & Tendon Noodle Soup with an extra side of pickled cabbage. It is so tasty. Spice is nice. Everytime I come here it just hits the spot.

Best beef noodle soup I know of so far. Love this place. Been going pretty often. They have a big selection of food. Can't go wrong with the beef noodle soup. I usually get their beef tendon on rice when I am craving a rice dish. Next time I will order the beef brisket noodle soup.

we came to the strip mall for an early dinner around 5:30pm on Monday. many of the restaurants are dark (closed on Mondays?!). we didn't see anyone inside the small restaurant and walked away initially but saw the good review on Yelp and turned around to give it a try.the owner/chef was very friendly and took our order. we had beef noodle soup and frog noodle soup, both came fairly fast. the servings were decent size bowls and the flavor of the soups were salty on the first try, but perfect for the bland noodles and other ingredients in the soup. there's plenty of beef and tendons in the beef noodle soup and plenty of pieces of frog in my frog noodle soup. according to the owner, he only uses fresh (not frozen) frogs so the meat was very tender (better than chicken). and he makes the soup stock himself on the gas range for hours.interestingly we found out the owner is Cantonese who traveled to Sichuan and many other cities to learn the craft. I want to come back to try some of his other items on the menu.

Beef noodle soup & cold noodles with chili oil. Very yummy! I got mild & didn't think it was spicy enough. Asked for spicy sauce and the waitress brought me a spicy paste. A little goes a long way. Both dishes were very flavorful and yummy! I would definitely come back again!

Beef noodle soup was good! A little bit too vinegar-y for my taste but it still tasted good and soothing. I was a little concerned because there was no one inside during peak lunch hours but I felt reassured because the staff was warm and welcoming.

Great little spot for some really tasty noodles! It was small and quiet, and the service was great. Note that the waitress only speaks Mandarin. We ordered popcorn chicken, frog noodle soup, dan dan noodlesC and a beef noodle soup. Everything was pretty good but those dan dan noodles were out of this world!! It's exactly what you want dan dan noodles to taste like. The mild was plenty spicy for me even though I consider myself to have a pretty good spice tolerance.

Upon approaching the front of this unassuming restaurant, you might not be immediately impressed. What greets you are a series of images displayed on the large windows, showcasing the various items featured on their menu. My wife and I found ourselves in the vicinity to catch a movie at the AMC at Puente Hills Mall and decided to grab some pre-movie drinks and dinner across the street. The restaurant's interior décor didn't particularly stand out, but we were promptly seated as there was no waiting time, and we received a warm welcome from the amiable owner along with the menus. These menus were refreshingly straightforward, complete with images of the dishes, which greatly facilitated our decision-making process. While I usually have my dining choice premeditated before setting foot in most restaurants, my wife enjoys perusing the entire menu to determine her mood. After making our selections, our food arrived in under 10 minutes. I opted for the Beef Noodle Soup, a dish I've savored in numerous places over the years. Surprisingly, this place exceeded my expectations, outshining most of the other establishments I've visited. My wife, who always insists on gauging my opinion whenever I try Beef Noodle Soup at a new spot, also enjoyed her choice - the Spicy Wonton Soup. I managed to have a taste of her dish, and it was undeniably delightful and spicy. This restaurant provides a wonderful opportunity to relish a simple meal crafted by friendly, older Taiwanese individuals. Every item we ordered left a positive impression, and I wholeheartedly recommend giving this place a try, especially if you have a hankering for noodle soup or are simply in the neighborhood.

Delicious, very authentic Sichuan flavor, one of the few in Los Angeles that can make domestic flavors, with cooking

I wasn't too sure of this place when I got here during a Thursday night dinner hour and was about to head to a different place cause it was empty. But my companion was ok with giving it a shot and I am so glad we did. I was blown away - I almost cried for second guessing this place given it's emptiness and older servers hanging around when it's not busy. Dan Dan noodles was mad flavorful- not that saltia** stuff some of yall rave about at other places but Asian Certified just enough oil and salt. Beef Noodle soup - I was a little surprised by a slight pickled taste with the soup but wow I grew to love it really quick. I would have preferred the beef slightly softer but I mixed it with my Dan Dan sauce haha so it was fine. Wantons were too big and too much wrapping in my opinion - but it was a HEARTY portion. Reminds me of how my mom makes them tbh- DTF takes it IMO but portion and price is fantastic! Highly recommend this place and will be returning! Also the AC was nice and cold and the seating areas were great and comfortable!

One of the little hidden gems of this hopefully on the comeback plaza with good food. I've been two other food locations in the plaza and this was the third. It's an authentic mom and pop chinese restaurant and as you can probably tell from the dish I ordered, the "griddle frog" that I mean authentic lol. The atmosphere isn't too much to look at and from the outside it never looks busy during lunch time, but step in and if you know want some decent chinese food, this place is a good one to try. I'll say the second time, I ordered the shrimp wonton noodles. But a little disappointed they made it more in the shape and wrapper of dumplings instead of wonton with the silky smooth translucent skin. And it wasn't egg noodles, but it was still a good experience.Fair warning the griddled frog is a little pricey but I was able to make a few meals out of it and it was spicy even on the lowest level, but it was so good. You just have to open your mind to the idea of it lol.

We had Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Shrimp Wontons. I really love how authentic the flavors were! The beef were really tender. Noodles were springy. I asked for them to make it mildly spicy. It added just the right amount of heat. The broth from both dishes were really comforting and flavorful. Glad we found this amazing spot! @cheska.eats
