I really cannot tolerate it when, after clearing dishes from another table, the staff did not wash their hands before bringing me a to-go box. I find this very unhygienic.

The food itself was excellent, but because of this particular incident, my overall dining experience was very disappointing.

The English name of this restaurant is misleading and the Chinese subtitle is the actually what they served. It’s a cheap place to get some noodles (4-5 different sizes based on its cross section) and cold dishes. To be honest, the beef on the Lanzhou Beef Noodles is very generous. The soup base is okay and surprisingly they serve pork noodles.

Lanzhou pulled noodle had good clear soup, yummy beef, but the regular noodle was thicker thank we expected. The lamb skews had great flavor but some fatty pieces were very chewy.

I went there twice. The first time I went there not long after it opened. It was pretty good. I went there again a few days ago. I can’t say enough about it. The noodles are so hard. Please avoid the braised food. I feel like there won’t be a third time.
