“This place does tacos and specialty tacos. I ordered the potato tacos which were 2 for $7.50 at the time of this posting. They came fried which was already wonderful but the presentation was amazing and put it over the top. Wish I would've took a photo before eating them. “We loved this place for takeout! The cashier/chef was so attentive even though he was the only one working. He even gave us extra consommé. The toppings he included with our tacos were more than we even needed - homemade pickled onion, onion, cilantro and hot sauce. Hands down some of the best tacos I’ve ever had.
The meat was cooked to perfection and chopped up very well.

Loved both green and red which is rare. Usually green salsa is superior but here you’re left drenching both.

“I really like this place. The food is good. The staff is friendly and efficient. It's a clean and well run establishment. There's a Disneyland theme throughout, with figurines, pins, Disney mouse ear displays, etc. It has self seating. You order at the counter, and they bring you your food. There's a serve yourself station for salsas. The eating area is relatively small but pleasant and well kept. You can order food to-go as well. Parking on the grounds is limited, but I haven't seen the lot get full. Street parking is also an option, but it could easily be hard to find a nearby space.

“A hot summer day in Chicago doesn't tend to scream "birria tacos!" and yet I found myself eating at Chela's with a friend. The establishment looks small outside (there is definitely limited parking shared with a Subway sandwich shop) but there is a lot of seating. The service was great- the waitress was very attentive and the cashier was very nice. There are complimentary tostadas and sauce brought to the table and the birria tacos are fantastic! Multiple salsas are provided, but the tacos are spicy themselves. Highly recommend trying them out.“
