Yong moon lu is the best. I would go everyday if I could! The yangjang pi was the best I’ve ever had with just enough spice from the mustard. It was delicious as leftovers too (the portions were huge - we had leftovers for days). The fried chicken was really good too. Even better than the sweet and sour pork, which is typically my favorite. We were so full but still enjoyed the jjajangmyeon and jjampong. The candied sweet potato they gave at the end as a free dessert was absolutely delightful. I wish they sold it! It’s so good. Not too sweet (the best Asian compliment). The staff are extremely fast, helpful, and very hard working. We got great service. Can’t wait to go again! Try to go early because they have a huge wait but.. it’s also worth the wait. Parking lot is small-ish so find parking elsewhere on the street

Stopped by this restaurant and here’s what we ordered:
* Jjajangmyeon: It’s the classic you know and love. Get the regular size unless you want to be sad.
* Gan Jjajangmyeon: Full of flavor with a nice smoky kick. But it’s a bit too salty. Honestly, I’d say stick to the good ol’ jjajangmyeon.
* Fried Shrimp with Hot Sauce: Tasty, but wow, that sauce is garlicky!
* Sweet & Sour Pork: Pork was crispy, and the sauce was spot on. No complaints here!
Oh, and one more thing—our table by the window was tilted, or was it the ground? Still trying to figure that out!🧐

This is 5th time visiting. I was here with my family of 3 people. It was peak lunch time. But as like last time only waited less than 3 minutes even we where 2 behind. Was seated and order was taken in another 3 minutes later. As we order Jjajangmyun ,Jampong, Mongolian beef, Kkanpung SayWoo. As in 4 minutes 1st Mongolian beef came then few minutes later 2nd 3rd 4th and final orders all came in less than 10 minutes. All the food amounts was huge and tasty, fresh and hot like real home made meal. Service was excellent and with friendly attitude. This is best Chinese Korean restaurant in SoCal. Thank you for your hospitality and greate meal.
Kid-friendliness: They also give out scissors and extra small bowl dish if you have little kid for them to eat easily.

The worst service. I arrived at 2:30, only to be told the kitchen was closed. Then why list your hours as being open until 3:00? It might have been understandable if they were polite, but the owner was rude as well. They seem to be relying on their popularity to act this way. I’m never coming back.

Surprised to see this place is 4.5 and not a stereotypical low rated Chinese restaurant.
When this is the case, service is usually focused on more than the food itself. I found this to be true on a weekend dinner at Young Moon Lu because the service was prompt but the food was just average.
The jjangmyeon should be the star dish of any Korean-Chinese place. There were only Korean people eating here with no Chinese so they definitely cater towards the Korean palette. The jjang here is a 2/5. Noodles are nowhere near fresh and tastes just like the ones you find in the refrigerated section that always has a weird texture and smell to it because of all the preservatives and stabilizers. For the price they charge here for a bowl of jjangmyeon the noodles should be fresh. Also, they don’t have anything but the regular Jjang on weekends, was so disappointed to solely come here because of the pictures of the Szechuan Jjang just to be told they don’t serve it on the weekends! Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Another indicator that this place prioritizes service over good quality food. I would not bring over my “American” friends to impress and especially not my native blood, unless you want to troll them with bad taste.
The Mongolian beef was tasty, this would be the only thing I would get but it’s pretty overpriced for cheap cuts of beef stir fried. 3.5/5 for this dish.
Sweet and sour pork aka Ttangsyuk. I give this a 3/5. Came out hot with plenty of sauce on the side. Sauce was thick and not too sweet or sour, similar to McDonald’s sweet and sour. The pork was so so. I just feel like there is better out there at a similar price point. Maybe if the Jjang was better it would have complimented the pork better 🤷🏿♂️
Overall, I probably won’t come here again because it is just a 3 star experience for a premium price. Expect to pay $30 person after tip/taxes if you want to leave with a full belly but no leftovers. The noodle portions were suspect for the Jjang, the nearby grocery store must have ran out of those pre cooked refrigerated noodles.

mapo tofu was peppery spicy and it was good black bean noodle has thick noodles and it was ok. tangsooyook (sweet sour pork) wasnt really crispy and the meat had some smell to it so I only had a piece of it. spicy seafood was very bland and not spicy at all and it had really stong ginger scent & taste to it so i took a bite and that was it. I would probably come back to eat their mapo tofu again but nothing else...
