“We come here twice a month. The food is great. But service course be better. It's hard to get a drink refill, especially coffee. I hate paying 4 dollars for a single cup of regular coffee. Other than that, we continue to go back because the food is good.
Vegetarian options: Veggie options
Dietary restrictions: I can change out potatoes to fruit or cottage cheese.“

“This is my mom and I'm place to go when we want a good meal at a reasonable price. Now it being on McHenry Boulevard you can imagine the company it has sometimes... other than that. They have good food and the servers are always very friendly. This is better than the other Dennys! Dont go to the other one, this is the best one.“

“I visited this Denny's at least four times and ordered a $20 burger, twice! Three times, I sat down and ate in the restaurant.
TAKE-OUT: $20.46
The TRIPLE JUICY BURGER was big, juicy, and messy, as all good burgers should be. It took me two days to eat that burger!
THANKSGIVING: $36.07
Unexpectedly, they seasoned the ROAST TURKEY DINNER. They seasoned the meat, the potatoes, and the broccoli!
The 'crisp' part of my APPLE CRISP dessert was a bit salty, but not so much so that the dessert was ruined. The Apple Crisp was pre-made -- in anticipation of its popularity at Thanksgiving-- which means it was removed from the refrigerator, microwaved, topped with VANILLA ICECREAM, then served to me. So it was not crispy. I believe that an oven-baked Apple Crisp would have made more of positive impact by having a crispy crust.
The SERVER was nice and attentive. But she did not anticipate my wanting dessert.
CHRISTMAS 2025: $47.53
The STAKEHOUSE SKILLET tasted awful. Clearly it was some kind of prepackaged, processed offering. Those burndt ends were not cut directly off a nicely, smoked brisket. I had to drown the meat in BBQ sauce to tolerate it. The couple of small pieces of fat I encountered tasted better than the meat itself!
The boiled MACARONI and POWDERED CHEESE was tasteless, except for the part that touched the barbecue sauce.
However, the BROCCOLI was seasoned and cooked just right.
The SERVER was pleasant, but like the sever before her, she brought me the check without asking whether or not I wanted dessert.
The ATMOSPHERE was pleasant. The atmospheric/mood music was low enough that it did not create an echo within the space and loud enough to hear, if you wanted to hear it. Restaurant patrons were speaking using their 'inside' voices. Only once, for about 60 seconds, did a patron annoy me by playing a video on their phone so loudly that I heard it from a booth away. Fortunately their order was out quickly! They put their phone away as soon as their food arrived.
Finally, my food (Thanksgiving and Christmas) came out of the kitchen super quick!
〽️ NOTE: The Steakhouse Skillet was too expensive to waste and I do not send food back to the kitchen and then eat another meal prepared by the same person/people. I learned that lesson the hard way.
PS - If the prices were lower, and that brisket, macaroni and cheere, and Apple Crisp tasted better, I would have given 5/5 stars.“

“Just ordered a soda and chicken tenders, and the chicken tenders came out overcooked and dark, but a few minutes later, another waiter came and gave me some new chicken tenders that were a lot better for free, and even refilled my drink when I wasn't looking! 10/10 experience, amazing service.“
