Great tacos!! Delicious! I loved the chicken corn tacos. 👍
What a wonderful find! Yelp did it again! Friendly people, tasty food, well within a families budget and lots of choices as well! Take that side bumpy road , it will be well worth it!
While headed back south on 101, googled a food stop and landed at San Ardo Cafe. Wow! So glad we came across this small cafe. Super friendly staff and a clean establishment with seating for maybe 20. We just ordered 2 burgers/fries to go, and were pleasantly surprised at how good they were! One of the best burgers I’ve had. Good size patty, but not too thick, accompanied by the freshest lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Don’t miss San Ardo Cafe if you’re in the neighborhood 👍
Super cool stop between Santa Barbara and SF off 101 owner super nice, cool vibe HUGE portions
Authentic Mexican food at very affordable prices! Made to order chips & salsa, stuffed jalapeno peppers, tacos, etc. You will have to wait for your order so kick back and enjoy a beer. Believe me, it will be well worth the wait.
Sorry to say, we stopped by for another great experience in October of 2024 and the restaurant has been closed.
This place rocks. San Ardo is a small town but everyone is proud of this cafe.
Downhome Mexican food
The owner was super cool and talkative. Really cool guy. All the food was bomb.

We were on a detour because of the problems on Rt. 1. Had been driving for hours, exhausted. We found this place totally randomly by pure happenstance.
Food was great. Owner's a very nice guy. In the unlikely event that I'm ever near San Ardo again, I'll definitely be going back.

One of our favorite places to stop on road trips. Owner very nice, restaurant and bathrooms very clean. Mexican food is very good and hot salsa has tons of flavor. my husband loves the burritos, I always get the al pastor tacos. And a cold beer.

This was a great place, we did not plan to go there as we were looking for a place to eat on our way to Pismo. What an awesome café! A family place with the parents in the kitchen while the son is serving. Super nice, smiling and food was great ! Thank you!

I felt like I was in the old west,
We arrived by accident looking for a bathroom since the next city is 40 minutes away
A small town in the middle of the road,
The only restaurant
The flavor is very rich, it tastes natural, the fish tacos are very delicious, the service is very good.
A very good stop along the way
