This was our first visit. The gentleman who greeted us was also a waiter and the bartender. We only saw that there was one busser to help out. Given that I can't overstate the top grade service. The selection of beers and the wines is very good. We both ordered the Weiner Schnitzel of which they offer several varieties. We thought that we'd order the Schnitzel made with pork loin (less fat) but that was not a great idea. The schnitzel is already rather flat, so the pork was fairly dry. Next time we would order a different schnitzel or something else from the menu. However, we definitely felt that this could be a local "go-to", so we will try again. Very nice ambiance and the outdoor seating looked good, too.

As for the food, my wife and I ordered the ribeye steak dinner. I was disappointed with mine because I had asked for medium rare. My steak came out medium well. I also felt it was over seasoned. I had to dip the steak in the gravy sauce to mask the saltiness. My daughter's had the cheese burger, which was really good. We also had the fried calamari and that was OK. A little under seasoned. The server was good. He checked up on us a few times.

Was disappointed that Open Table credit was not earned. Was surprised that small salad was no longer offered with schnitzel dinner. Poor explanation of menu change due to cold salad being served next to hot food. Then why not serve on the side?

Good place for dinner if you like German food and the items are offered at a decent price.

Food was generally very good. Seats are uncomfortable/ tables too small with not enough room for plates. Servers overwhelmed.

JJ the person who takes orders and periodically checks in for any needs is one of the best assets of this establishment. My friend absolutely loved the Valentine's Day experience that I hoped would have been the result when selecting this restaurant. I am not exactly carnivorous and would have preferred that I ordered what I did minus the meat however that is my issue as I was not feeling meat at the moment however my friend ordered the same and was happy to take mine home( minus the veggies and mashed potatoes which were perfectly cooked. Highly recommended and sit at a table where you will meet JJ. He made everything better than it would have been otherwise.

It is a delight to have an authentic German bistro here in San Carlos. The experience transported me back to Stuttgart with its friendly welcome, warm pretzels, savory schnitzel, frankfurters, and of course, the beer and wine. We will undoubtedly return with friends and family to enjoy another special trip to Germany on Laurel Street.

The veal in the Schnitzel tasted old and pretty tasteless, Service was excellent. Ambience very nice. Not very crowded.

The beer selection was pretty good, service good, the food was ok but had better German food and a bit over priced compared to other German places we go. Very nice and friendly staff.

Nice change on Laurel Street. Food was unexpected. Delicious! Had chicken sausage with a yummy sauce and mashed potatoes with vegetables on the side. German style! Kolch beer was refreshing. Nice addition to all the great restaurants San Carlos has to offer.

Excellent service was provided by bartender Sidar and our waitress Bajar. We hope that we got their names right. The food was excellent. Pork schnitzel was very good as was the veal schnitzel, both perfectly fried and non-greasy. The included salad and potatoes also were very good. We only wish that spaetzel would have come with the schnitzels rather than potatoes. There is a wonderful German Riesling on their wine list if beer is not your choice. The Black Forest Cake dessert was a great final ending to a wonderful meal. Bravo!

Excellent food quality. So happy to see that they offer their Schnitzel as pork, chicken or veal options. Some of us still really enjoy the traditional veal! Red cabbage was off the charts. Pretzel was a little dry but willing to give that another try. Unfortunately they were out of several of their draft beers. Hopefully that gets corrected soon. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Great to have a German spot in San Carlos.

We had our first dinner experience here sharing a few apps and a main course amongst the two of us. The dishes came super quick and the chicken schnitzel and saurkraut were on point with large portions for us to share.
The server came by a few times to check on us and gave great service. We will be back!

Great new restaurant. Very reasonable pricing. Not crazy expensive like other restaurants along Laurel Street. Every dish has sides that are include in the price. Great selection of beers. Authentic German food. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

The food, the service and atmosphere was ok but they are getting one star. The pictures and reviews are from their old restaurant. The owner changed the name but left all the reviews and pictures from their old restaurant. Complete dishonesty and trickery that I can't stand.
