My second visit - this time with my husband. Staff was warm and welcoming and seemed pleased to see me again (didn't realize I had made an impression). The restaurant space is what they call "intimate" and "cozy." But it doesn't feel like it. It's airy and lovely. It's the best place to go with friends, family or romantic partners. Again the staff is so welcoming and warm that you feel like you're visiting a friend's house for dinner. But you're not reading this for anything but the food. We started with the airy and lovely calamari - fried with a side of a balsamic dipping sauce. A lovely focaccia with a delightful olive rich dipping sauce came out also. Just when my husband and I thought we couldn't be happier, our mains came out. I had the cinghiale and my husband went for the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. The risotto is very airy and beautiful. You want hardy - the cinghiale (boar sausage) with thick homemade ribbons of pasta will warm your soul. Desserts were wonderful. I had tiramisu while my husband had the pistachio cake. Both were terrific. Tiramisu is one of those things that can be done meh or great. This was great. Ladyfingers soaked in actual coffee had a nice bite (espresso?) with good dusting of cocoa powder to give it some balance with the tender sweetness of the cream. Plan to come back with a couple of my girl friends in the next couple of weeks. Great place to eat.

Elegant vibe & wonderful food! Service was top notch loved their shrimp pasta & hands down they have the best Tiramisu ever. Nice red selections by the glass. I was recommended a Primitivo which is an old vine....Loved it and asked for a second glass.

Our first time there was totally amazing but last night not so much! Felt rushed... bad description of octopus... the sauce was way too thick and sweet. Ordered 3 coffees , received 2 and charged for 3. Don't know if we'll be back

Amazing food! Best Italian restaurant around Bay Area. Their Spaghetti Carbonara & wild boar pasta are outstanding. Pasta was Aldente which is not easy to find outside restaurants in Italy. I Will be back anytime I am in this area.

Fantastic meal. Celebrated my birthday and was not disappointed. Nice little gem in the heart of Silicon Valley. Menu selection very unusual, home style type of meal with super authentic flavors. Service was top notch and felt very happy about that. These days is not easy to get to talk to nice people in public. Thank you!

Went to Delizie for a birthday with a friend from out of town. The restaurant was virtually empty when we arrived as were almost all the other San Carlos restaurants as it was a very rainy Friday evening in January. The "greeter" (a small Italian man who also doubled as a waiter) led us to a tiny table for two wedged against a wall. I asked if they expected to be full since there were two tables for 4 next to us. He said that he didn't know but preferred us to sit at a table for 2. We went quiet and he added, I hope we're going to be full. He came off as being extremely arrogant. It probably didn't help our case that we are just about to be seniors and women to boot. Fortunately he was not our waiter. Our waiter was a bit older, really good, knew the food, provided good advice and was very attentive. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious (perhaps a tab undersalted). The "greeter" must have heard we were there for a birthday and at some point brought a couple of small cannolis on the house, which was nice. But he almost threw the dish on the table. My friend and I were a bit shocked. When we didn't start eating them for a good 15-20 minutes because we were chatting, he came to ask why we weren't eating them. The whole experience was disappointing because the menu has a handful of interesting dishes (I like a small menu, which suggests fresh food to me), the food was flavorful and our waiter was good. But the attitude of the "greeter," who clearly has not been to hospitality school and is short on graciousness, was a complete turnoff. Needless to say, the tables next to us sat empty virtually the entire time.

I''v been to Delize many times before and really enjoyed the experience. I recently selected this restaurant for my book group to meet. It was a Monday evening and the place was reasonably busy, but not full. Service was OK, but not very warm/inviting (very different from our past experiences) and I was disappointed in my food order. I chose the wild boar ragu (a past favorite of mine) but they changed the recipe. This one did not come cooked in tomato sauce, which was yummy, but was very heavy on the meat juices. I should have gone with the beef in tomato sauce option, but didn't realize it at the time. Won't write it off my list of good restaurants in San Carlos, but will definitely ask questions before I order off the menu next time!

The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. The food however was not good. Salmon dish tasted like a Tuna fish casserole and the pasta carbonara had no taste. We wanted to like this restaurant because the people that work there are very nice but sadly we will not return.

Lovely spot and vibe! The best Italian restaurant around the area. It reflects the authenticity of Italian food made with passion. Comfort food and full of flavor. Love their ravioli and the Carbonara. So far the best outside from Italy. Thank you for providing the best hospitality around! : ))
