Service was slow to start and meals did not come out together. Our server was wonderful and did her best to make the overall experience better.
Went for our anniversary dinner and was very pleased. We were seated at a comfortable booth near the bar and had great service by Erick M. I ordered a Manhattan and my wife had an Old Fashioned. Both were excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the Prime Rib Sandwich was terrific. We both enjoyed sharing the Izzy's potatoes. Lots of parking was available.
We were a party of 4, dining on a Thursday night. We had 3 orders of the teriyaki flank steak and one order of the salmon. We started with salads. The food was good, though not outstanding. The restaurant was quite busy and therefore, very noisy. It was difficult to hold a conversation. We would like to commend the waitstaff - they were very attentive. I believe our waiter was named Amir (?). He handled an issue we had with the wine service in the most professional and courteous manner.
3rd time back in a week! That says it all! The renovated Izzy's is far better service and food quality wise! I shall be back!
Great to be back at Izzy's. There's more life, energy and enthusiasm with the staff! There's renovation was a long time coming and it shows! Food was awesome! Beer and wine selection second to none! My favorite was the fried oysters but they ran out of it! A must try! The best I've had!
Best steak ever! The filet mignon is definitely worth the price. Sides were good too. Love the ambience--best in the mid-peninsula.
A good steakhouse. Ordered their prime rib dinner which came with two side dishes. An outstanding value that I highly recommend. The 10oz cut of meat was delicious and the sides very tasty. The balance of the menu is a la carte and limited. My only knock on the place.
We've been here a few times now and the food is always delicious. We were initially seated in the main room at a tiny 2 too next to a loud 3 top. Luckily they moved us to a booth after we ordered. We were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and I was surprised and slightly disappointed that they didn't bring out anything for dessert - even something small to acknowledge it since we didn't order one of their desserts from the menu as we were too full from dinner. The server was very attentive at first then he kind of disappeared and hardly checked on us after our meals were served. Next time we will sit at the lounge or the bar - better service and atmosphere. Otherwise it was a lovely evening.
Inexperience staff from greet to eat . Nobody knew what the other was doing , need more experienced wait staff , used to be run by Jenny before remodel and she trained and managed the restaurant very well . She is greatly missed.
On our way home from LA. Found it on open table so we went there. More than pleasantly surprised. We would consider going back just for the food.

Lovely atmosphere & service was good. Recommend the bread, but know there's a charge for it (typically complimentary in TX steakhouses). They were out of prime rib, so we had the skirt steak with creamed spinach. Both were good, but the skirt steak had a teriyaki flavor, which I wasn't expecting. We also had the chicken picatta, & while it was good, it didn't have much of a typical lemon flavor, & it is only chicken & sauce on a plate. It has no pasta accompaniment, which is how we're accustomed to it being served. Overall, we were glad to try it, even though the food fell a little flat for us.

We wanted prime rib. However, our conscientious server told us that the only remaining was medium and non medium rare. So, we opted for the bone-in ribeye; the flavor was average. Also, our server was not very attentive, especially when we wanted extra butter for the bread service and when my wife wanted her glass of wine for dinner. We will likely come back to try the prime rib.
I'm so glad Izzy's back. I took my girls last night, and we all love a great steak . Best service we had in a long time, and it was definitely a serious contender for Town. Will be coming back for sure. My New York strip was on point, perfectly cooked, the Gomez prime rib was the perfect size, and the skirt steak was juicy and tasty.

Great great place. Filet Mignon blackened and New York Strip Blackened (both medium) were excellent. In the entrees, chicken piccata was excellent, and the mushroom bolognese was also decent. Calamari was OK. Definitely coming back.
Parking: Plenty of spots for free parking.

Bread was good, but don't like that it's now a bread service and not complimentary. Prime rib was great as usual and happy to see I could get a baked potato instead of the Izzy's potatoes. Creamed spinach was good and the steaks (NY and filet) were good as well.
